Today we joined Mwananchi Communications Ltd at the #MSMEsStakeholdersSummit2024 taking place at Mlimani City Conference Centre under the theme "Upgrade, Upskill and Upsize MSMEs". Our Funguo Tanzania investee startups fall under the category of MSMEs in terms of size, so it was crucial for us to join MCL in this initiative to ensure that we keep growing platforms that advocate for a better environment for them. MSMEs are the lifeblood of the Tanzanian economy; over 95% of all the businesses in Tanzania fall under this category, contributing to approximately a third of the country's GDP, and responsible for generating up to 40% of total employment. About 54% of MSMEs in Tanzania are women-led businesses. These facts are the reasons why we are all supposed to pay attention to MSMEs and contribute to their resilience and growth. #UpgradeUpskillUpsize #InnovationTz UNDP Tanzania European Commission Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office - Research, Science and Innovation

Technology is best when it brings people together. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. It's still magic even if you know how it's done.
