Recently, Masi Mohammadi on behalf of DEEL Academy and Niels H. Chavannes, MD, PhD on behalf of National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL) signed a multi-year cooperation agreement to strengthen research. DEEL is the knowledge platform for The New Living. DEEL aims to promote self- and co-reliance in people's living using technological and social innovations. DEEL is a learning community of resident initiatives, housing corporations, healthcare organizations and knowledge institutions in collaboration with business and government. The National eHealth Living Lab (NeLL) is the independent eHealth knowledge network and focuses on evaluation, implementation and co-creation of effective eHealth with the goal of making eHealth a fully integrated part of health and care. Healthcare professionals - according to NeLL's vision - will have fully implemented eHealth in their practices in the near future. In doing so, eHealth - like interventions and medication - will be included in guidelines for healthcare professionals. The joint approach is to build on a successful sustainable collaboration, in which various innovative projects will be carried out with the aim of exploring new ways of providing care @home, in order to keep care feasible and affordable. #collaboration #care #ehealth #empathichome #livinglabs

I just got back to the U.S. from Amsterdam after attending the HLTH Europe conference. The event was truly remarkable, showcasing the future of #health technology and the #innovation driving our industry forward. Here are my top 5 takeaways: 1. International Collaboration: European companies who want to enter the U.S. are keen to partner with U.S. counterparts to navigate the complex American healthcare market. These collaborations are crucial. 2. Market Entry Challenges: Many #startups struggle to identify their buyers in new markets like the U.S. The complexity of the payer-patient-provider system makes it challenging to communicate value to diverse stakeholders and understand who ultimately will pay for the product they have developed. 3. #AI Integration: There's a growing trend to integrate AI into clinical and back-office operations. While the potential is immense, the success of these implementations remains uncertain and requires careful consideration, integration, and execution. 4. Bridging the Technology Divide: Without intentional investment and focus, the technology divide will likely grow. Expanding opportunities to underserved communities to ensure equitable access to healthcare advancements is essential. 5. Healthcare's Small World: The conference highlighted how interconnected our healthcare community is. I reconnected with former students (Lara Zibners MD MMEd MBA, founder of Calla Lilly, colleagues from residency Reza Alavi, MD, MHS, MBA and Alex Mohseni, MD, FACEP, new friends Agata Bielówka, and my good friend Owais Durrani. Our conversations revealed many overlapping professional experiences and collaborations. Healthcare is dynamic, with a non-stop flow of continued learning, collaboration, and opportunity! Excited to see what's next! #HLTH2024 #HealthcareInnovation #AIinHealthcare #GlobalHealth #HealthcareCommunity #PhysicianEntrepreneur ABIG Health Coleen Santa Ana Kelsey McNabb

🚀 Exciting Takeaways from Our Recent "Tech Meets Health: Unlocking Breakthroughs & Overcoming Barriers" Panel Discussion!🚀 Yesterday at Login conference, our panel had an enriching discussion on the future of health tech, emphasizing several key areas: Synergizing Technology and Patient Engagement An ideal health tech ecosystem leverages the synergy between technology, patient engagement, and collaborative networks to enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes. Innovation Leadership for Doctors and Nurses Education is paramount for fostering innovation among healthcare professionals. Empowering doctors and nurses with the knowledge and skills to create and implement new solutions is essential for advancing healthcare. By promoting a growth mindset, we can encourage continuous learning and adaptability, enabling healthcare providers to embrace and drive change. This involves not only understanding the latest technological advancements but also developing the ability to think critically and creatively. Public-Private Partnerships Strong partnerships across sectors, including technology firms, healthcare providers, investors, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders, are essential. These collaborations help leverage each other’s strengths and capabilities to drive innovation and efficiency in healthcare. Creating a health tech ecosystem takes a village, not a solo player. Interoperability Systems within the ecosystem should exchange and interpret shared data accurately and efficiently. Integrating electronic health records, wearable devices, and other health data sources is crucial to creating a successful health tech ecosystem. Our discussion underscored the importance of education, preparation for investment, and collaboration to drive the health tech industry forward. Thank you to our wonderful panelists Farah Shiraz, Virginia E. Vegas, Andrius Milinavicius for creating such a vibrant atmosphere. Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania for organising such an important discussion.
