📕 An LP (Low prompt) platform can be defined as a platform which accepts few words as a prompt and can deliver an output that was traditionally taking: - 3 or more full time roles collaborating with each other. - Multiple iterations to get the value promised. Low-Prompt vs Low-Code platforms 🌏 Truly Open to all -  In Low-Prompt, anyone can develop and MAINTAIN while in Low-code, only users who have the know-how of the system can use. 📚 Self-manage Know-How - In Low-Prompt, the platform takes the responsibility to make technical decisions needed to get what the user is asking for. While in Low-code, the user has to maintain the complex know-how of how each system is built and what it does in order to maintain the system. 📈 Efficient in prompting - Since only a few words are needed to convey what needs to be built / changed, it takes 5 or less words! to create / manage an output in Low-Prompt. In Low-Code, if we count the number of clicks and drags, the number is low initially but then it increases significantly as the complexity of applications increases. 😁 Protect usability and user intentions - The user is communicating the final intentions they have to the Low-Prompt application and it is upto the system to achieve it. This keeps the output usable for the end-users despite multiple iterations. In Low-Code, the usability of the system completely is at the mercy of the Product managers or the LCNC developers. ⚔ Where is Low-Prompt better over Low-Code? When maintaining and building complex applications is becoming a challenge, that’s when Low-Prompt will be a clear winner over Low-Code. I shall elaborate on them in my next post. For today's tool, I'd like to call out #continuedev. If you have setup #ollama, #vannaai, and are looking for that final piece in your local or cloud hosted dev toolkit, #continuedev is a great tool. It allows you to add a LLM (local language model) to an IDE (integrated development environment) of your choice. I use VS Code and the integration was about as smooth as it gets. Compared to pre-AI coding where many frustrating hours were spent searching the documentation to address a novel or outlier use case, #continuedev made it a fun journey of discovery.
