How inspiring to witness ElektroTage’s effervescence in Vienna! A much-needed gathering to discuss automotive’s biggest evolution and challenges. No one can sweep the truth under the rug anymore. European OEMs must cope with multiple factors to lead our industry’s transformation, including: • Rising competition from the East and the West, • A necessary #EV shift, • And the reinvention of #ICE, which is definitely not dead! This requires them to fight multiple battles at once: building strong local EV value chains, that’s why we’ve created Ampere almost a year ago. And revolutionizing the #ICE and hybrid game – what we’re carving out with HORSE Powertrain Limited – . The continent must also deal with struggling demand and competitivity. And the current regulation pile up doesn’t help in overcoming these issues: a few months from now, we’ll have to sell 1 EV to be able to sell 4 combustion engines without paying penalties. But I’m convinced that Europe has what it takes to reclaim its historical leadership in automotive.
