I am delighted to share our lastest paper on burden of treatment and QoL in RRMS from Argentina, which was recently published in MSARD. In this study that was led by Juan I Rojas, we found lower burden of treatment and higher QoL in patients on high efficacy DMTs. #MS #NMOSD #MOGAD

One panel discussion stands out because included a multidisciplinary panel - MD, ND, APRN, and a PharmD 🙌🏽 Here are the top 3 things I learned about GLP-1s that I think are wroth highlighing: ✨️ Topical compounded metformin can be a great alternative in patients with GI side effects ✨️ Studies have shown reduced inflammation, lower Nf-kB and as much as a 30% reduction in hsCRP ✨️ When we're working on weight loss and actively trying to mitigate muscle loss, sure protein has to be a priority, but the conversation has to also include fiber and behavior change. An early indicator of non-inferiority for Medis QFR compared to wire-based functional assessment! Insights from the FIRE trial.   Dr. Andrea Erriquez and co-authors from the FIRE Trial under the guidance of Dr. Simone Biscaglia, Ferrara University Medical Center in Italy, published this exciting paper in JACC Interventions on the same day that the results were presented in a HotLine Session at the EuroPCR 2024 in Paris.    This is a prespecified sub-analysis (QFiRe study) of the FIRE trial, which randomized older MI patients to culprit-only or physiology-guided complete revascularization. QFR was measured on 903 non-culprit vessels from 685 patients in the culprit-only arm. 40.5% of non-culprit vessels showed a QFR ≤ 0.80, which emerged as an independent predictor of VOCE.    In the complete arm, QFR was used in 320 (35.2%) non-culprit vessels to guide revascularization. When compared with propensity-matched non-culprit vessels in which treatment was guided by wire-based functional assessment, no significant difference was observed.    The authors concluded that this sub-analysis provides evidence supporting the safety and efficacy of QFR-guided interventions for the treatment of non-culprit vessels in MI patients.   Do you want to get a demonstration of Medis QFR®? Despite a lack of clinical evidence, the higher rotational speeds of diagonal pumps might be assumed to be a risk factor for hemolysis. 🔹 The results of a systematic literature review revealed comparable hemolysis risk between the #XeniosAG #DP3 pump and centrifugal pumps. 🔹 Case reports using the DP3 pump revealed that real-time monitoring of power consumption can help to detect pump head thrombosis early.
