The second job of the day yesterday was a greenfield site in Bundamba for Newstart Homes Australia… The team at Reliable Foundations Limited Australia are very experienced with the Biax Foundations system and this slab prep was close to perfection! It just looked beautiful, all the lines were perfect and good use of the Biax 145 pods in the alfresco eliminating the need for the pad to be cut down, allowing the slab mesh to run under into the house slab area. Navigating Complex Utility Challenges in Iwade, Kent   We're proud to be working with Riverdale Developments on their latest project in Iwade, Kent.    This site has some interesting complexities: a tight space, a public right of way containing drainage, telecoms, and HV electric, which serves as a key access route to the nearby school.    The development has a shared surface design, which means no traditional footpaths. Since there is no associated open space, buried attenuation tanks are required to manage stormwater discharge during heavy rainfall, ensuring Sustainable Drainage. 🌧️   The trees planted on the verge make the layout even tighter, adding to the challenge. Up on the Darling Downs last week for the first Biax Foundations slab in Warwick for quality builder Active Built! With the site backing onto the Condamine River the last thing anyone wants is broken pieces of polystyrene blowing into the largest river system in Australia - simple way to avoid that is to build with Biax. Ben and the team from Brownlie Concreting had only done 1 waffle style slab before and were quite open in saying they hated it, lucky the Biax system is easy to handle and goes together well so they saw the benefits and commented they’d be happy to use it ☺️ Engineering by the local team at Olivotto Consulting Engineers with the Biax and steel provided by Tradeline Site Solutions, it’s great to open up a new area to realise the benefits of the best slab system available!
