MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands) Last week the first and very successful WiSP3 face-to-face meeting took place at MARIN, discussing the progress and way forward with the 34 participants. This meeting was held as part of the Vessel Operator Forum, enabling excellent networking opportunities. 🌬️ Wind propulsion is expected to be boosting 💥 the coming years in view of the decarbonization of the maritime industry. Establishing justice in the energy sector necessitates moving beyond theoretical discussions to practical implementation. It took policy makers a significant amount of time to realize that corporate social responsibility cannot be achieved without enforcing reporting mechanisms. Similarly, justice in the energy sector cannot be attained without applying the Energy Justice Milestone Reports. This is where Prof. Raphael Heffron, along with other experts, has written an insightful piece on the role of justice in shifting accountability and responsibility within the energy sector.
