Like many of us, you may be pondering how you can contribute to the planet and your community on Earth Day. With our clean energy future, air and water quality, public lands, and endangered species on the line, it's crucial that we take action. Fortunately, the grassroots environmental movement is thriving, and every action we take to honor the planet counts. This year, there are several effective and enjoyable ways to make a difference. Here are a few: - Plant a tree or participate in a community garden to help promote greenery and clean air. - Organize a neighborhood clean-up event to keep streets and parks litter-free. - Reduce your carbon footprint by biking or walking instead of driving - Donate to an environmental organization or volunteer your time to help protect wildlife and their habitats. Let's come together on Earth Day to make a positive impact on our planet and future generations. Remember, every little bit counts! #EarthDay #EnvironmentalMovement #Sustainability

This weekend, we hosted an inspiring Reverse Tashlich Beach Cleanup at Leadbetter Beach in Santa Barbara! With 25 dedicated volunteers, we worked together from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM to remove trash and help protect our precious coastline. Reverse Tashlich is a new Jewish tradition. Water symbolizes life and renewal and rebirth. Reverse Tashlich takes that principle a step further by encouraging us to remove our physical impact from the ocean, aligning with our collective responsibility to care for the environment. The ocean is vital to life on Earth—it provides 50% of the oxygen we breathe, sustains marine ecosystems, and regulates our climate. It’s crucial that we, as stewards of this planet, protect it for future generations. We invite you to follow our journey and support our mission to build a global community of ocean advocates. Together, we can foster ocean health, protect marine life, and create lasting change. 🌍💙 Join us at Marine Conservation Network to stay updated on future initiatives, learn how you can get involved, and help us make oceans of difference! 🔗 Follow us: @MarineConservationNetwork 🔗 Website: marineconservationnet.org #ReverseTashlich #BeachCleanup #MarineConservation #Sustainability #TogetherWeMakeOceansOfDifference #GlobalOceanCommunity #OceanAdvocacy #EnvironmentalResponsibility #LeadbetterBeach #SantaBarbara #JewishValues #ConservationLeadership

🌊 Get Ready for Clean Beaches Week (July 1-7)! 🌊 If you’re planning to visit your favorite beach this Fourth of July, consider enhancing your experience by celebrating Clean Beaches Week! The first week of July is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of keeping our beaches and oceans clean, and we all have a role to play in protecting our precious marine environments! Here are a few ways you can help: 1. **Pick Up Trash**: If you're heading to the beach, take a few minutes to pick up trash. Leave no trace and pick up any trash you encounter to keep wildlife safe and protect the beauty of our coastlines. 2. **Support Local Nonprofits**: Find and support local environmental nonprofits. These organizations are on the frontlines, working tirelessly to keep our beaches and oceans clean. If you’re in Georgia, check out One Hundred Miles, Surfrider Foundation Georgia, Georgia River Network, and Root Local. 3. **Join a Beach Cleanup**: Use the Ocean Conservancy's website to locate beach cleanups in your area. Participating in these events is a great way to make a tangible impact and connect with like-minded individuals. Check out the Ocean Conservancy's cleanup map here: https://lnkd.in/gqRaRaEZ. Let's come together to ensure our beaches remain pristine for future generations. Every small action counts, and together, we can make a big difference! #CleanBeachesWeek #ProtectOurOceans #EnvironmentalStewardship #BeachCleanup #OceanConservancy #TrashFreeSeas #CommunityAction #RootLocal #PlasticPollution

Check out the newest video from YB2F: 🌿 Our connection to the land is something we feel with every shift of the seasons. Whether we’re planting, gathering, or just being present, we all have a role in taking care of these forests. In my community, we’ve always learned by working together—side by side with elders, listening to the land, and honoring the balance it provides. At Forest Bridges, we’re blending the knowledge passed down from our ancestors with modern practices to protect and restore the forests. It’s about looking ahead, building something sustainable for future generations, and making sure these ecosystems can keep providing clean air, water, food, wood, recreation, and wildlife habitats for all of us. So, how do you stay connected to the land? What keeps you grounded in nature and your community? Let’s share those connections and ideas in the comments. 🌲🌱 #LandStewardship #CulturalConnection #IndigenousKnowledge #FutureForests #HealingLandscapes #CommunityCare

At its root system, Aspens are interconnected. It's the way we think about the nonprofit ecosystem working on environmental stewardship, nature, ecology, climate justice, wildlife, marine life, renewable energy and so much more. These groups are on the daily working to make our futures possible, livable, sustainable. Much like an Aspen stand, we're asking every day people, connected by the planet we live on, to take a stand as an environmental future-shaping champion through Earth Gives Day. It is critical that we get more than 2% of giving going to environmental groups with boots on the ground and boats in the ocean. That starts September 6. Until then your nonprofit can sign up for Earth Gives Day at EarthGives🌎org through Friday. Read more about what's involved under "for nonprofits." Together, more shade and sharing is possible. #EarthGives #Generosity #Philanthropy #environment #nature
