December Traditions: Chocolate, Cheese, and Cheesy Films 🎄 For me, Christmas is all about the build-up. Step 1: Chocolate. As much as humanly possible. Step 2: A Channel 5 or Hallmark Christmas film daily if I can swing it (the cheesier, the better—MPCA ones are my guilty pleasure). Of course, you’ve got to mix in the classics: Home Alone, Elf, and Scrooged are non-negotiables. Step 3: The tree. Festive hits on full blast (Saviour's Day is my favourite) while I untangle last year’s fairy light disaster (I really need a pre-lit one next year). And Christmas Eve? A cheeseboard so big it’s borderline embarrassing and a glass (or three) of champers. It’s not fancy, but it’s mine. What are your December traditions? 🎄 Festive stats - Did you know? What’s your favourite thing to do over the Christmas period? Some love getting together with family and friends, others enjoy parties and nights in the pub. However, no one can deny that watching the odd Christmas movie, with a mulled wine and a tin of Quality Street has a place in our hearts over the festive season. In fact 1 in 3 of us are partial to watching these ‘once every year classics’ over and over again. And there are loads to choose from, but which are our favourites? Here’s the top three coming to you in reverse order! 🧑🎄 At number 3, Jim Carrey’s version of the Dr Seuss classic, The Grinch. 🎁 Number 2, Will Ferrell’s portrayal of that lovable Christmas character, Elf. 🌲 And finally coming in at number 1, that iconic family film full of holiday mischief, Home Alone. When the Christmas spirit commences... THERE IS SO MUCH TO #LEARN...Christmas is coming #festive #experience #joy It's not when the Christmas adverts come on. It's not when the decorations are in the shops. It's not when the festive menus arrive in the restaurants. It's the Christmas movie. Not the one on the TV or dusting off that DVD, but the latest blockbuster in the cinema. We pre-booked our ODEON Cinemas Group luxe reclining seats in the iSense screen. Dug into some popcorn and chocolates whilst the latest tale of saving Santa (PS The Red One didn't dissappoint) projects from the 50ft or so screen (something like that). When the experience starts, the joy begins to flourish. Excitment builds and our smiles widen. Christmas is coming... Just imagine if we could create this feeling when we kick off the next business initiatives, the great ideas and that new project.
