#Golloria x rhode skin update 📣
Now THIS is how it is done. For both sides. Golloria spoke UP with highly constructive criticism of the Rhode blush formulation. As she should. The team at rhode skin then quickly took this as an opportunity to truly listen, learn, reformulate, and collaborate.
The incredible speed in which this was done is beyond commendable. While that may not be a realistic timeline for indie brands who may find themselves in similar predicaments, the speed is not what’s expected here.
Not to say that a timely first moment of outreach isn’t — because this is absolutely the first priority of action for brands. But I promise if you still approach the situation quickly and respectfully — remaining open and ready to listen — and follow this playbook on a timeline that DOES work for your business, you will also experience positive results.
I’m excited to see the way this has played out.

Our latest creation, the TreasureTress Curly Hair Advent Calendar, is a perfect demonstration of this.
The idea was sparked not by market research reports or focus groups but by direct messages from our community.
First, a DM, then, an IG story reply, then another DM, which validated of us that we needed to create something special for curly and textured hair lovers this season. 🎁✨
Because why should everyone else have all the fun in beauty?
There truly is power of proximity, sometimes, the most meaningful ideas come from a simple conversation.

1️⃣ Keep the lines open. Every comment, DM, and story reply is feedback from those who matter most.
2️⃣ Watch for patterns. When a need emerges repeatedly, take note—your community is telling you something.
3️⃣ Take action. Close proximity means moving with speed and intention, delivering what your community needs and loves.
Some of the best innovations don’t start with strategy decks but with simply listening. When your community speaks, make sure you’re close enough to hear.
