Two important realities of customer retention: 1️⃣ 70% of your new customers will never purchase from you again. 2️⃣ Most of your revenue from WhatsApp will come from repeat purchasers. Generally, the revenue from WhatsApp can be broken down as follows: - 10% comes from new subscribers. - 20% comes from customers who have purchased once or twice. - 70% comes from customers who have purchased at least three times. You need to measure where your WhatsApp revenue is coming from and from who. Build these customer segments in Shopify and track their growth. In addition, track the conversion rate for each segment for each WhatsApp campaign sent. If a substantial percentage of the subscribers on your list are not ascending to 3x purchases, your WhatsApp marketing performance will suffer. Exciting news! WhatsApp Business is dropping some conversation rates from August 2024 🙌 This will create significant cost savings for our customers and any businesses using the WhatsApp Business API. See the table below for all rate changes, but here are the highlights for our key markets of Germany, UK and Italy. 🇩🇪 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲: 𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 From August, utility conversations drop 2.5 cents from €0.0707 to €0.0456. This is a considerable saving for companies who want to feel more able to help customers with their existing orders and accounts in WhatsApp – whether tracking udpates, event reminders or receipts for in-store purchases sent via WhatsApp. The other 3 conversation types remain the same. 🇬🇧 𝐔𝐊: 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 From October, marketing conversations drop almost 1.5 cents from €0.0584 to €0.0438. (In £ that's 1.3 pence down from £0.0509 to £0.0382.) Utility conversations also fall from August: almost 1.5 cents from €0.0330 to €0.0182 (1.3 pence from £0.0287 to £0.0159). This is a big incentive for businesses in the UK to get started with WhatsApp – since now they can trial WhatsApp with lower costs than ever. Meta charges a small fee per conversation for larger businesses that use the WhatsApp Business Platform (API). GOT A LAUNCH PLANNED? Paul Green and I have one space come available to build out a challenge WhatsApp funnel - in my experience using WhatsApp improves three key metrics: 1. Reduces the gap between registrations and people joining the FB group. Email is where your links can go to die…WhatsApp is like a 97% open rate* 2. Improves attendence on the lives as you can get the link into their hands direct on their most used app, ManyChat is great (when it works)…but they need to be in messenger or have notifications switched on 3. Improves sales conversions and reduces in-person sales conversations giving you more money and more time back as you don’t need to get on sales calls (unless you want to - and you can book these via WhatsApp too) and can see the sales conversions happening in the app in real time - overcoming objections in a ‘choose your own adventure’ style, giving links and video pitches on request only, creating space for questions and giving a multi faceted, multi media, multi nuanced customer experience. Basically it’s DEAD GOOD and starting from £5K for the basics to £15k and beyond for bespoke it’s an investment you’ll use over and over again for every launch just increasing the ROI every single time.
