International Women's Day was massively celebrated last month across the world. I personally came across a lot of great initiatives (Lectures, data sharing – most alarming ones - awareness campaigns, change management projects, etc.). There's one that personally stood out for me: “Honorary Campaign” to celebrate Inspirational Women Among Us, created by some colleagues from Women@TikTok METAP group 🌷 The idea was to nominate and share a brief explanation of how a WOMAN has INSPIRED you, highlighting achievements, challenges and qualities that make them stand out. What a beautiful way to make people stop, reflect, and pay attention to things that really matter to them! Observing people around us is powerful. This is not only because we learn. It helps us see things beyond the status quo and avoid bias. This is transformative. Feeling inspired is taking the learning to another level! Inspiration awakens us to new possibilities; it allows us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. Inspiration propels a person from apathy to possibility and transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. In this specific initiative, lot of women were nominated. This means that a lot of people STOPPED to REFLECT and acknowledge others. This is so powerful and I feel very honored to be part of the winning group announced last week 💛. I'm sharing this to reinforce a few things that I believe... including the power of bringing heart to the workplace. This initiave is a real example of #InspireInclusion (International Women's Day 2024 campaign theme). I will never forget it. Congratulations to not only the winners… but to all nominees, nominators and initiative leaders 🌷 Trophies change shelves. Empathy changes the world.

On this International Women's Day, I'm inspired to share a story close to my heart—a story of transformation, empowerment, and unity within the CPG industry. Meet my client, a talented CPG professional with a knack for innovation and an eye for market trends. Her journey wasn't straightforward. As a woman in a highly competitive and traditionally male-dominated industry, she faced numerous challenges: from being overlooked for promotions to having her ideas dismissed in important meetings. Despite these setbacks, she remained resilient. She recognized the power of collaboration and the strength found in lifting each other up. She took a bold step forward and founded a mentorship program within her company aimed at supporting and empowering women. This initiative wasn't just about career advancement; it was about creating a culture where women's voices were heard, valued, and celebrated. The impact was profound. The program grew, creating a network of women across different departments and levels, all united in their desire to support one another. I totally agree on this point and not surprising that the main message is still so true: too many companies doing the ✅ the 📦 on Identity Months (Women, Hispanic, Pride). And now with the DEI backlash, platitudes and backward progress is spreading, the relevance is even more important. All of this shows the importance of real substance and leadership.
