People have become tuned in to authenticity on social media. I sincerely hope this will calm the sea of wanting to be like someone else, to look like someone else, to have what they have. That would be a better place for our children to be. In leadership, authenticity is also an absolute must which is great if you already fit the 'leader' mould. When you don't - maybe you're an introvert for example - trying to be the type of person you think you should be is draining. Your messaging is inauthentic and won't land. You'll find it depletes your energy. Being authentic as a leader engenders trust, you deliver every message with integrity and transparency which builds support.
