The CENTCOM Team analyzed Israel's rejection of a proposed 21-day ceasefire with Hezbollah and the mass displacement and humanitarian crisis at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing between Lebanon and Syria. Netanyahu will likely leverage the diplomatic leeway from potential ceasefire negotiations to enhance Israel’s image while continuing airstrikes in Lebanon. Meanwhile, UNHCR, UNICEF, ICRC, and their local partners will likely need to strengthen their local presence in Syria to expose potential threats from Assad against Syrian returnees, with a roughly even chance that this oversight will deter direct prosecution. #OSINT #Monday #Israel #Hezbollah #Syria #Lebanon #HumanitarianCrisis https://lnkd.in/gvfgWCYt

Mosab Hassan Yousef 🟢 The Green Prince 🟢 & Chris Coumo -The ICC issued an arrest warrant for the corpse of Muhammad Al Dief and did nothing about Hamas leaders who have been traveling freely between Qatar and Turkey. -Hamas smuggles weapons using humanitarian aid trucks. -Israel does everything within its ability to minimize the civilian casualties in Gaza, and Hamas does everything within its ability to maximize the civilian deaths. -Hamas statistics are false and the humanitarian organizations depend on Hamas's lies. -The ICC is a corrupt organization working around the clock to pressure Israel to surrender. -The Divided Nations failed to condemn Hamas under the Chinese and Russian pressure, giving terrorists a lifeline. -Pressuring Israel to ceasefire will keep Hamas in power, and such a move will keep the vicious cycle of violence for eternity. 17.6.2024 Israel’s genocide in Palestine: Neighbourhoods ‘completely razed’ in eastern Rafah Hani Mahmoud Reporting from Deir el-Balah, central Gaza On the second day of Eid, the situation remains quite difficult. Overnight, attacks took place across the Gaza Strip – from the northern city of Beit Hanoon all the way to Rafah city, coupled with heavy artillery strikes along the eastern border. That includes heavy strikes on central and eastern parts of Rafah. Israeli forces also continued systematically demolishing homes in the east and near the Philadelphi Corridor [southern Rafah]. These areas are completely razed, with no remaining residential buildings and no agricultural land left. In a separate wave, the Israeli military carried out heavy artillery strikes in central Gaza, including on Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps and the southeastern part of Deir el-Balah city. Everything seems to be contributing to one thing: making Gaza uninhabitable.

Saferworld urges UN Member States to take immediate action to end the mass killing, ethnic cleansing and humanitarian crisis faced by #Palestinians and #Lebanese civilians. More than a year into Israel’s assault on #Gaza, violence against civilians has reached catastrophic levels, as Israel’s allies – including the UK and the US – sustain this deadly cycle by supplying arms. We call on Member States to #ActNow to enforce an immediate arms embargo on Israel and bring to an end the continuation of the horrors perpetrated against civilians by Israeli forces. https://bit.ly/4ft4xoJ

What is Israel’s long-term goal in Lebanon? PART 19 There are two obvious off-ramps. The first is for Israel to accept a ceasefire in Gaza that will pull back forces to agreed locations so that humanitarian aid can move and that allows for a new Palestinian governing authority that Palestinians, not Israelis or Americans, will choose. The second is for a ceasefire in Lebanon that will see Hezbollah cease rocket/missile attacks on Israel in return for Israel halting its airstrikes and ground incursions.

Syria's new administration has imposed restrictions on Lebanese crossing their shared border into Syria, as Lebanon seeks better ties with its neighbor under the new rulers. - by Frederic Eger/Reuters- Lebanese who do not have a residency or family inside Syria will not be able to cross, but exceptions are being made for those with other types of business inside Syria. The measures are the result of a dispute between the two sides over the apparent mistreatment of Syrians entering or leaving Lebanon. The Lebanese army has reported that five soldiers were wounded in clashes between soldiers and unidentified Syrians as the army tried to shut down an illegal border crossing near Baalbeck in Lebanon's northeast. Lebanon is looking forward to having the best neighborly relations with Syria after rebels forced Bashar al-Assad from power on December 8, opening a new chapter after ties have often been fraught since the two countries became independent states in the 1940s.
