The Counterterrorism Group’s Post

The CENTCOM Team analyzed Israel's rejection of a proposed 21-day ceasefire with Hezbollah and the mass displacement and humanitarian crisis at the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing between Lebanon and Syria. Netanyahu will likely leverage the diplomatic leeway from potential ceasefire negotiations to enhance Israel’s image while continuing airstrikes in Lebanon. Meanwhile, UNHCR, UNICEF, ICRC, and their local partners will likely need to strengthen their local presence in Syria to expose potential threats from Assad against Syrian returnees, with a roughly even chance that this oversight will deter direct prosecution. #OSINT #Monday #Israel #Hezbollah #Syria #Lebanon #HumanitarianCrisis https://lnkd.in/gvfgWCYt
