Sympathy doesn’t save lives. Action does! Remembering that November 25th is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, let’s talk about a project close to my heart. ONE STOP PROJECT Last year, as part of Ethiopian Medical Students Association-Myungsung Medical College/Korea Hospital I led the the Project, collaborating with other EMSA LCs in Addis to support one-stop centers for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). These centers provide: ☑️Medical Services like Emergency care, forensic exams, and follow-ups. ☑️Counseling to help survivors heal. ☑️Legal aid assistance with reporting and navigating justice. ☑️Coordination with Law enforcement Ensuring survivors access justice. The donations we gathered made a significant impact, providing survivors with essential items like sanitary pads, clothing, detergents, and soaps So Whats needed to help these centers? 1. We can help financially by funding medical care, counseling, and legal aid. 2. All of using our platform forms we need to raise awareness and push for policy reforms. 3. Partners like NGOs and local organizations could help to bring awareness, man power and donations . 4. In-Kind Contributions by donating equipment or essential services. 5. Ending GBV requires sustained action, not just on November 25th but every day. My last message is that for any philanthropists and donors alike seeking meaningful causes, one-stop centers are a powerful way to make a difference. #EndGBV #GenderEquality #HealthcareInvestment #HumanRights #Ethiopia
