🤝 In partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, we trained 23 surgeons in our Trauma Surgery Training for Humanitarian Doctors in the UK. Among them were three previously trained Ukrainian doctors, sponsored by the Foundation. "Just two days ago, I faced a mass casualty incident involving four patients in one hour. Three of them suffered massive hemorrhages from arterial injuries, fractures, and amputations. I was the only surgeon available. 🤝In partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and with support from the BMA Giving, Essity, Stryker, Russell Trust and B|Braun, we trained 23 surgeons in our Trauma Surgery Training for Humanitarian Doctors in the UK. Among them were three previously trained Ukrainian doctors, sponsored by us for special mentorship to join our local Ukrainian faculty. 🌐 Our team recently delivered vital trauma care training to local medics in Northwest Syria in partnership with the World Health Organization, strengthening emergency response in a region deeply affected by conflict. We’re especially grateful to have delivered this training just before the recent escalations in violence. These moments reinforce the importance of sustainable healthcare solutions in conflict zones.
