A new digital health purchasing survey by Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI) revealed that 97 percent of employers, 86 percent of health systems, and 84 percent of health plans intend to maintain or increase spending on digital health solutions in the coming year. In a news release on October 10, PHTI stated that the reasons for increased spending were relatively consistent, with purchaser groups reporting increased consumer demand (83 %) and improved health outcomes (62%) as primary motivators. Further, three out of five health plans (60%) cited cost savings as a top reason for increased investment in digital health. Health plans, employers, and providers want to meet continued demand for digital health solutions, while ensuring the solutions they purchase have strong evidence that they improve health and generate economic efficiencies. #digitalhealth #innovation #healthcare https://lnkd.in/g_8S3xsg
