This week, I had the most amazing experience with the girls at Government Secondary School, Lugbe. Initially, I was hesitant to go due to other commitments, but as Miss Hope wisely said, “When you start, you don’t want to stop, and the girls never want you to stop.” Her words rang true today. I shared my personal journey with self-esteem and how it remains an everyday learning experience. We discussed practical tips to boost self-esteem, improve academics, and focus on personal growth and development. The girls were full of questions, eager for guidance, and looking for someone to trust. It struck me how significant our influence can be. These young minds are impressionable and trust us to lead them in the right direction. Imagine the impact if someone with less honorable intentions were in my place. This realization reinforced the importance of our responsibility to inspire and empower them positively. I am deeply grateful to my sister at FellyFaith Foundation for this partnership. Together, we are making a difference. Inspiring girls to build self-esteem is crucial. It equips them with confidence, resilience, and the belief that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Let’s continue to support and uplift the next generation, guiding them to become strong, self-assured women. #InspireHerFuture #BuildingConfidence #LeadWithHope #MentorMoments #FutureLeaders #EmpowerTheYouth #PositiveImpact #GirlsWithDreams #StrongerTogether #RaiseHerUp #NextGenLeaders #SupportAndUplift #JourneyToSelfEsteem #GuidingLight #EmpowerAndEducate #FellyFaithFoundation #AshakeFoundation #Empowerment #Education #SelfEsteem #GirlsEducation #Inspiration #FellyFaithFoundation @ashakefoundation

When you were younger, do you remember places that were just for young men to hang out with other young men? Think now, where are those places where a boy is mentored and taught from older guys, about how to be a positive influence in society? I wonder if society has created a vacuum in which less helpful spaces are on the rise. Maybe Men don't have a problem with Women, maybe Men have a problem with Identity. (Nb. I am not down-playing the growing issues with Men and Women in Society - this is a hugely serious topic) Such a powerful interview on the importance of Mentoring and Educating Young Men.

Empowering young girls is crucial for building a better future. When girls are established and supported, they become strong, confident leaders. Education plays a vital role in this process, as it equips them with knowledge and skills for success. Encouraging girls to pursue their passions fosters creativity and innovation. By supporting their ambitions, we help break down gender barriers and stereotypes. Established girls grow into women who can contribute significantly to their communities. They inspire others and pave the way for future generations. It is important to provide equal opportunities and resources, ensuring they have the tools to succeed. Mentorship and role models can also greatly impact their development. Promoting a positive self-image and resilience helps them overcome challenges. Establishing girls means investing in a more equitable and prosperous society. It enhances economic growth by tapping into the full potential of the population. Supporting girls' aspirations benefits everyone, leading to a more inclusive world. Let's champion their success and create a world where every girl can thrive. Together, we can make a difference by supporting and celebrating established girls. #empowerment #womeneducation #womenestablished #womentheleader

CONTINUITY (Launching of The Girl Child Club) * Interacting with Boys and Building Healthy Relationships Understanding how to interact with the opposite gender respectfully and confidently is essential. The club will offer guidance on building healthy relationships with boys, emphasizing mutual respect and clear boundaries. These sessions will help girls navigate social dynamics and foster positive, respectful interactions. * Envisioning Their Future Finally, the Girl Child Club will encourage girls to dream big and plan for their futures. Through career guidance, inspirational talks from successful women, and practical skills training, we will help girls set goals and work towards achieving them. By exposing them to various career paths and opportunities, we aim to inspire them to pursue their passions and contribute positively to society. In conclusion, the Girl Child Club is more than just an educational initiative; it is a community where girls can find support, gain knowledge, and develop the confidence they need to succeed in all areas of life. By addressing their holistic development, we are not only shaping their futures but also building a stronger, more equitable society. 💪🏽Girls with VISION- Women with PURPOSE #TFN2023Institute #Purpose&Leadership #TeachForNigeria #teachforall #EducationMatters #JourneyOfimpact #Purpose&Leadership #TFN2023In #floralgabtony #folaweomikunle #danielarmstrongakor

We had an amazing time yesterday. So much shared, so much learnt. Our gratitude goes to our exceptional discussants Weluche Aguchibe Maple Dappa Bharat H. Jethani Yasser Ssembatya Quanita Roberson Mukosolu Kongolo Hilda Dokubo Sana Bagersh Nurse Dr. Buloala Lilly-West (FWCN) Monica Jaramillo We were blessed to have our men, our allies and advocates, who gave us a very rich perspective on the issue of #inclusion for women. One of the fallouts of the discussion was the fact that as parents, we need to raise men who understand that women have dreams and potentials that must not be caged. Takeaways: 1. Education of the girl-child/woman shouldn’t be limited to the classroom. It should involve critical thinking, problem solving, self awareness and other soft skills. Gender-responsive budgeting will help to address the unique and peculiar needs of women, not just in education but holistically. 2. Mentorship is critical in accelerating the growth of the woman in every sphere of life, and young girls need to make themselves available for mentoring by older women who will help them avoid unnecessary pitfalls. 3. Self-confidence plays a very important role in helping women take up more challenging roles either in the workplace or in the society. Stereotypes and imposter syndrome make the list of some impediments to unleashing the full potential of the woman 4. The girl-child is always pressured to act perfect and look perfect at all times. Society is often ruthlessly critical of her behaviour which is seldom the case with the boys. The second part of this discussion will come up soon. Watch out for it! To your #growth always!
