This week, I had the most amazing experience with the girls at Government Secondary School, Lugbe. Initially, I was hesitant to go due to other commitments, but as Miss Hope wisely said, “When you start, you don’t want to stop, and the girls never want you to stop.” Her words rang true today. I shared my personal journey with self-esteem and how it remains an everyday learning experience. We discussed practical tips to boost self-esteem, improve academics, and focus on personal growth and development. The girls were full of questions, eager for guidance, and looking for someone to trust. It struck me how significant our influence can be. These young minds are impressionable and trust us to lead them in the right direction. Imagine the impact if someone with less honorable intentions were in my place. This realization reinforced the importance of our responsibility to inspire and empower them positively. I am deeply grateful to my sister at FellyFaith Foundation for this partnership. Together, we are making a difference. Inspiring girls to build self-esteem is crucial. It equips them with confidence, resilience, and the belief that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Let’s continue to support and uplift the next generation, guiding them to become strong, self-assured women. #InspireHerFuture #BuildingConfidence #LeadWithHope #MentorMoments #FutureLeaders #EmpowerTheYouth #PositiveImpact #GirlsWithDreams #StrongerTogether #RaiseHerUp #NextGenLeaders #SupportAndUplift #JourneyToSelfEsteem #GuidingLight #EmpowerAndEducate #FellyFaithFoundation #AshakeFoundation #Empowerment #Education #SelfEsteem #GirlsEducation #Inspiration #FellyFaithFoundation @ashakefoundation

🌟 Empower a Girl, Empower your nation🌟 Education is more than a right—it's the most powerful tool we have to create a brighter future. Yet, millions of girls worldwide are still denied access to quality education due to poverty, discrimination, and systemic barriers. Investing in girls’ education is not just a moral imperative; it’s a smart investment. The ripple effect is transformative. So, what can we do? 💡 Advocate for policies that ensure equal access to education. 💡 Support organizations working to break barriers for girls worldwide. 💡 Amplify the voices of young women and girls—because their dreams matter. Ever wondered what society whispers about educated girls behind their backs? 🤔 In many ways, society claims to champion educated girls, but behind closed doors, what’s the reality? Here's what often happens: 1. Admiration with Conditions: Society praises educated girls—until they challenge traditional norms. 👀 2. Progressive until Marriage: There's pride in their education, but when it comes to marriage, expectations shift towards home and family responsibilities. 💍 3. Fear of Independence: Educated girls are often seen as 'too independent'—which can be threatening to societal structures. ⚖️ 4. Support for Success, until Leadership: Many encourage their growth, but the idea of women in leadership still faces resistance. 🏆 "Education empowers women to think, speak, and act—not just dream." 💡 Do you think our society is truly ready for educated women to lead? When you were younger, do you remember places that were just for young men to hang out with other young men? Think now, where are those places where a boy is mentored and taught from older guys, about how to be a positive influence in society? I wonder if society has created a vacuum in which less helpful spaces are on the rise. Maybe Men don't have a problem with Women, maybe Men have a problem with Identity. (Nb. I am not down-playing the growing issues with Men and Women in Society - this is a hugely serious topic) Such a powerful interview on the importance of Mentoring and Educating Young Men.

Happy International Women's Day to all the phenomenal women out there! On this occasion, I want to talk about a quiet truth – many girls have dreams, big ambitions burning bright in their hearts. But the path to achieving them often feels shrouded in mystery. Think about it: countless young women have plans, a burning desire for success, yet lack the crucial support system to translate those dreams into reality. It's a gap that often goes unnoticed, but even a small step, a helping hand, can make a world of difference. Through my experience with programs like Desk Ke Mentor, I interacted with girls from grades 9-12. It opened my eyes to a whole section of society where the spark of ambition ignites in their eyes, but the tools to channel that fire – guidance, mentorship – remain elusive. I can't express enough gratitude for the unwavering support I received from my family. But this realization struck me: we, as a community, need to become that support system for those who need it most. Let's bridge the gap and empower these girls to chase their dreams with confidence. Are you part of a program that mentors students? I'd love to contribute! Let's build a future where dreams have a roadmap, where girls don't just dream, they achieve! ✨ #WomensDay #MentorshipMatters #EmpoweringGirls #breakingbarriers
