Last week the FDA announced a public workshop entitled ‘‘Best Practices for Meeting Management.’’ The workshop will take place on July 22, 2024, and aims to address the growing complexity and frequency of interactions between the FDA and industry stakeholders throughout drug development and application reviews under PDUFA VII. Some of the topics covered will include: - Procedures and best practices for submitting meeting requests to the FDA. - Strategies for maximizing the use of meeting time to ensure productive discussions. - Guidelines and considerations for setting and finalizing meeting agendas that address critical issues. - Best practices for preparing and submitting comprehensive background information to facilitate meaningful discussions. - Insights into the use of virtual meeting platforms and other adaptations made during the pandemic. At CRC we understand the importance and impact FDA interactions have for program deliverables. We hope this workshop will enable us to better support our clients to effectively and efficiently implement FDA engagement strategies.
