🌟 Movember: Time for Men to Talk 🌟 The staff at JHS are growing their Mos! This Movember, let’s make a difference together. 💙 We’re not just growing moustaches—we’re growing conversations about men’s mental health and raising awareness for prostate and testicular cancer. These are critical issues that deserve our attention, and the first step is breaking the silence. 💬 Why talk? Because it’s OK to not be OK. Because expressing your feelings is a sign of strength, not weakness. Because no man should feel alone in his struggles. When we talk, we show each other that we care, that we’re listening, and that support is always available. This Movember, let’s remind men everywhere that it’s not just about health—it’s about hope. 👨👦👦 Join the movement: 🌱 Grow your mo. 🤝 Reach out to a friend. 🗣 Start a conversation. If you want to buy a badge to support the cause please see Mr Parsad. Together, we can make a lasting impact. #Movember #MensMentalHealth #ItsOkToNotBeOk #TimeToTalk

🧔 Our Director, Alex Smith, is Growing a Moustache for Movember! This month, Alex is ditching his razor to grow a moustache that might turn heads – and hopefully spark conversations about men’s health. Movember is more than just a chance to see some questionable facial hair; it’s a global movement tackling the most significant health challenges facing men today: • Prostate and testicular cancer • Mental health struggles • Suicide prevention 💡 Did you know? On average, men die 6 years earlier than women, often for preventable reasons. Movember funds research, support networks, and awareness campaigns to close this gap. Alex is on a mission to make a difference – and while we may tease him about his new look, we couldn’t be prouder. 🎯 Support Alex’s Movember campaign here: https://lnkd.in/ebp4pt_f Together, we can help Alex and Movember change the face of men’s health – one moustache at a time! #Movember #MensHealthMatters #SupportAlexSmith #LifeboatLettingsCares

FACTS Stands with Movember! Movember is not just about growing moustaches - it is a movement for men’s health. From raising awareness about prostate and testicular cancer to promoting mental health and suicide prevention, this month is a reminder to prioritise the well-being of the men in our lives: colleagues, fathers, brothers, and friends. Small gestures can spark big conversations. Let’s use this opportunity to encourage regular health check-ups. Did you know? PSA testing for prostate cancer should start: - At 50 years for those at average risk. - At 45 years for those at high risk (e.g., family history). Together, we can make a difference. 💙 #Movember #menshealth #supportandawareness #FACTS

Get Mo'ing ladies and gents! So tomorrow is the official start to Movember. As promised, I will be doing something different this year. The aim is to drive awareness around testicular and prostrate cancers as well as mens mental health. Many people have enquired what I am up to this year and how they can help to spread the message. Well it's simple: 1. Like our posts and share them if you want to. I will be doing regular updates. Have your own discussions around awareness and check in on the men in your lives. 2. As for what I am up to this year.....the hint is in the picture. The suicide awareness ribbon is in the middle with the light blue prostrate cancer awareness ribbon on the left and the light purple testicular cancer awareness ribbon on the right. How fitting. Tomorrow I will kick off my Movember challenge with my first post outlining my goals for the month. Chin up. Boots down. #bigbearmotivationalapparel #chinupbootsdown #movember2024 #movember #mentalhealthawareness #cancerawareness

Good Morning LinkedIn, Do You Know, What is Movember! It’s Movember! A Mustache for Men’s Health 🌍 This month, you might notice more mustaches popping up—it's not just for style, it’s for #Movember! Growing a mustache in November helps raise awareness and funds for critical men’s health issues, including: 👨⚕️ Prostate Cancer – One of the most common cancers in men. Early detection saves lives! 🧬Prostate Cancer – Most common among young men; let’s reduce the stigma and spread awareness. 💬 Mental Health & Suicide Prevention – Men are less likely to seek help. By talking openly, we can change that. Movember isn’t just about the Mo; it’s about moving the needle on men’s health. This November, join in by growing a Mo, taking on the 60km challenge for the 60 men who lose their lives to suicide each hour, or hosting a “Mo-Ment” with friends and colleagues. Let’s support each other, break stigmas, and spread awareness—one Mo at a time. 💙 #Movember2023#Movember2024 #MensHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #ProstateCancer #TesticularCancer #BreakTheStigma #SuicidePrevention #Wellness #LinkedInCommunity #HealthAwareness #StartTheConversation

𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 As we leave Pink October behind, we are reminded of how important it is to give equal attention to Movember - a month dedicated not only growing moustaches/beards but, more importantly, to raising awareness about men's health issues that too often go unspoken. Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health challenges and suicide prevention are real and pressing issues that affect men across all ages and backgrounds. These conditions can deeply impact individuals and families, with effects that reach far beyond the personal level and extend into our workplaces and communities. Working in PR and communications, especially with health institutions, has taught me how essential it is to break the silence around these topics. We often see a surge in engagement and support for Pink October, and yet conversations around Movember are comparatively rare. But awareness is the first step towards action, and every conversation we start, every bit of awareness we raise, has the power to change lives. This month, let’s do more... Let’s educate ourselves and those around us about the importance of men’s health. Let’s make sure men know they don’t have to face these challenges alone. #Movember #MensHealth #Awareness #PRandCommunications

It’s ‘stash season! Movember is upon us. Movember is a global movement dedicated to men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancers, mental health, and suicide prevention. To raise awareness, you may start to notice some people around you sporting a mustache or setting a fitness goal as part of their commitment to “Move for Movember.” Since its start in 2003, Movember has turned into a full global movement, with the Movember Foundation funding more than 1,300 men's health projects around the world and spotlighting health issues that people find difficult to talk about. This month, Movember is highlighting these sobering statistics: - Men represent 69% of suicides globally, or 1 suicide every minute. - More than 10.8 million men live with prostate cancer, many of whom face unique challenges post-treatment. - Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15–39, with early awareness and detection being crucial. Wondering how you can help? There are plenty of ways to get involved—and mustaches are optional. Here are some resources to help you get started.

Let’s make this Movember count: Supporting Men’s Health and breaking the Silence 💪🏽 Did you know that… 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? 3 out of 4 suicides are men, making it a leading cause of death for men under 45? These numbers are more than statistics - they represent fathers, brothers, friends and colleagues. This Movember, I’m taking part to honor close friends whose lives ended far too soon. Movember isn’t just about growing a mustache, it’s a global movement to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, especially around cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Movember’s mission is to spark conversations, promote early intervention and help men live longer, healthier lives. Sometimes, the simplest gesture like asking “How are you doing?” can make a world of difference to someone who is silently struggling. Taking a moment to check in with family, friends and colleagues - especially the men in our lives who may feel pressured to “stay strong” - could truly be life-saving. This month and beyond, let’s support each other by encouraging openness, offering a listening ear and normalizing the courage it takes to ask for help. If you’re going through a tough time, please reach out - whether anonymously to professionals and support groups, or to someone close to you. And if you feel someone might need support, take a moment to genuinely ask how they’re doing. Let’s make this Movember count! By standing together for men’s health and creating a world where no one has to face their battles alone. #Movember #MensHealth #MentalHealth #SupportEachOther #YouMatter
