The last of our top five students in the KSA’s 2024 Student Kitchen Design Project is Cindy McKenzie from Vega in Pretoria. This is the second time Cindy has entered the project and she has come top five both times – an amazing achievement. As a passionate and dedicated interior designer, Cindy brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to every project. Committed to creating captivating spaces, she prioritise both visual impact and practical usability. She recognises the importance of designing accessible, user-friendly spaces and ensure my designs are tailored specific solutions that resonate with the clients’ visions and requirements. Her attention to detail and textural layering ensures each project is distinctive and authentic. She enjoys kitchen design because it blends functionality with aesthetics to enhance clients' daily lives. She finds kitchen designing an incredibly rewarding and a gratifying process that turns an essential space into a functioning, accessible, appealing design that integrates the client’s style and preferences to make each kitchen unique. Cindy opted for brief one focusing on the retired couple moving to their last home, downscaling in the process. Cindy’s design facilitated the downscaling without compromising the sense of space and maintained the high-end elegance and sophistication the client wanted. Cindy will be moving to Cape Town to do her postgraduate studies in design at UCT and will be doing an internship with one of our KSA members in Cape Town while she studies. #KSA #kitchenspecialistsassociaiton #studentkitchendesign #kitchendesign #studentkitchenproject
