In a world where challenges loom large, the power of collective resilience shines brighter than ever. The recent Dolphins Challenge Cancer event is a prime example of this strength, rallying 6,702 individuals to raise an impressive $12 million. This huge effort beat last year's amount and reached the target of $75 million for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center earlier than expected! It's incredible to witness such a phenomenal success. It is a testament to the unstoppable spirit of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium leadership and each participant who turned adversity into victory together. Their collective resilience has powered a movement that's met one of the most ambitious donation goals in sports history, showing the world what's possible when we unite for a common cause. "One team. One fight." The resilience, unity, and strength displayed are truly inspiring. Stephen D. Nimer, M.D., put it well when he said, "Thanks to the unwavering support from the South Florida community and our amazing partnership with the Miami Dolphins, we've been able to achieve so much at Sylvester, pushing the boundaries of cancer research." When you focus your efforts on a goal, you're bound to succeed. Well done, Miami Dolphins! This event has made a real impact in the fight to save lives. #Community #Resilience #Teamwork #MiamiDolphins #CancerResearch

This year, the COS team once again proudly participated in the Great Cycle Challenge — joining the ride to fight kids' cancer! A huge shoutout to Angie Viada, M.S., PMP, CSM, Shaunna Schelin- Kowalewski, Stacie Hudgens, Amy Howerter, and Kayleigh M. for their incredible efforts, collectively riding 734.4 miles and raising $2,527.16 in donations to support this critical cause. Why do we ride? Because over 15,700 American children are diagnosed with #cancer each year, and sadly, 38 children lose their battle every week. These inspiring women are making sure those numbers change, giving kids a fighting chance for a brighter future. At COS, we believe that everyone can make a meaningful impact — and together, we can all make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. The Great Cycle Challenge, which benefits the Children's Cancer Research Fund, has grown into one of the biggest cycling events in the U.S., with riders from all 50 states covering a combined 33,817,103 miles and raising over $72,646,876 for research. We've all been touched by cancer in some way, and we're calling on everyone to hop on their bikes and join this amazing cause next year! Let’s keep pedaling for those who need it most. Reflecting on Our Journey As we look back on our journey at Fighting Cancer Today, we are filled with gratitude and pride for what we have accomplished together. Our mission to provide emotional and financial support to cancer patients and their families has led to incredible milestones. Through the collective effort of our dedicated community, we have distributed countless comfort kits, provided essential transportation services, and offered crucial financial aid for utility bills, food, and housing. In September, I had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the West Virginia Breast Health Initiative, Inc.'s inaugural “Breast Cancer Health Equity Summit,” where I shared a message close to my heart: “No one fights alone.” This event was a powerful step forward in addressing the unique challenges faced by women in West Virginia, especially in communities affected by health inequities. The WV Breast Health Initiative, a grantee of the Highmark WV Charitable Fund for Health, is making strides in closing gaps in breast cancer care and support. In an interview with WOWK 13 News-TV, I shared that health equity means everyone has the opportunity to live at their healthiest, which requires quality data, medical education, and accessible clinical care. But many face barriers to these resources, creating health inequities that impact prevention and lead to higher rates of breast cancer mortality in underserved communities. Check out the full interview to learn more about how we’re working to build a future where all women have access to the care they deserve. https://lnkd.in/ebk3q-hy #BreastCancerAwareness #HealthEquity #NoOneFightsAlone #WVBreastHealth #WOWKTV

I'm just a normal mummy, doing everything that I can to prevent what happened to Aoife, from happening to any other child. To give children a fair chance at survival by early diagnosis, child-specific cancer drugs, and supporting them & their families on this journey. If you, or your business, think that they could help support us - however that might look for you. Please get in touch! 💗 #businesscharitysupport #corporatecharitysupport #corporatepartnerships #childhoodcancer #childrenscharity #smallcharity
There is just 6 weeks between these photos 💔 Childhood cancer is not something anyone wants to think about. We didn't. Until it happened to us. Only 2% of childhood cancer research funding comes from the government. The rest comes from people like us... normal people that have been directly impacted, and are doing everything we can to change the outcome for other children. We operate almost entirely on a volunteer basis. Fundraising gurus will tell you that, to attract corporate partnerships and support, we need to find a way to align our causes with the business's aims and policies. We need to find 'synergies'. The challenge is, childhood cancer isn't on any business's #ESG policy. There aren't many synergies to be found. But, we still need to raise money; to support our awareness campaigns, our pledge to ICR's research project, and real-life children and their families throughout their cancer journey. If you're interested and able to support us in achieving Aoife's missions, how ever that looks for your business, please get in touch to discuss options. There wouldn't be enough words to express our gratitude 🌸 #corporatepartnerships #corporatecharitysupport #smallcharity #childhoodcancercharity #cancercharity #supportacharity #germcellcancer #childhoodgermcellcancer #itcouldhappentoyou #workingmums #workingparents

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and today's Impact Story is Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels! At the heart of every nonprofit is a mission to change lives, and Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels does just that. This incredible organization supports families and children facing pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing financial relief, emotional and physical comfort, and a sense of dignity in their toughest battles. Their mission goes beyond service - it's about offering hope and comfort when it's needed most. It's a true honor to partner with such a purposeful organization. It got me thinking: as business leaders, how can we ensure our ventures positively impact our communities? How can we, too, be beacons of hope? #NonprofitLeadership #ImpactfulBusiness #AmandaHopeRainbowAngels #CorporateResponsibility #LeadershipForGood #PediatricCancerAwareness
