This video is for gym owners that feel stuck, and are still doing it all 🤨 Are you acting like "Jim?" 👨💻 Receptionist: "Jim, I can update the class schedule!" 👨💼 Jim: "Uh, how about I just do it... I know all the secret ninja tricks in Excel!" And don't forget... 🧼 Cleaner: "Jim, I've got the equipment sanitizing covered." 👨💼 Jim: "Not the elliptical! It's my baby! We don’t need S&C education which is MODALITY first We need education which is MOVEMENT first No-one cares if you use Olympic weightlifting, kettlebells or plyometrics. Using any of those things doesn’t make it an S&C programme... What matters if your ability to change the quality and level of force expression during different movement patterns. In most cases, ignore the modality courses!

I've experienced three roles in the small community-focused Gym industry: 1. As a client 2. As a personal Trainer 3. As a Gym Instructor And here are three insights I've discovered so far: 1. Most gyms don't follow up on their clients - or they eventually get tired of following up on their clients 2. Most gyms don't have a lucrative partnership deal with the independent Personal Trainers working in their gyms. And for that matter they don't know how to leverage those kinds of relationships. 3. Most gyms do not invest in the growth and education of their gym instructors (their most important human capital). Launching a project soon - 06/01/2025

Alright, alright. 😊 I'm happy to share that I've completed one of the requirements for Singapore CoachSG by submitting an article, which was part of my duty after accepting their Coach Development Grant. So, I still have one more article to submit to them. For my second and final article, I'm thinking of writing about how Singapore coaches can use the Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) to gauge how hard their trainees are working during exercise, instead of relying solely on our all-time favorite, the smart watch. Hopefully, this will be a useful reference for coaches when they train their athletes. 🏋🏽♂️ I hope you find it useful for training your athletes or even yourself. 👍🏽 Do share it. :) . . #SingaporeCoaching #FitnessSingapore #SportsCoaching #SingaporeSports #AthleteDevelopment #CoachSG #PerformanceTraining #FitnessCoach #SportsScience #AthleticExcellence #NutritionForAthletes #RecoveryStrategies #HydrationTips #RPE #ExerciseScience #SingaporeFitness #SGTraining #SingaporeCoaches #FitnessSG #SGSports #CoachSG #SingaporeAthletes #FitnessInSingapore #SGWorkout #TrainingExcellenceSG
