2024 has been a year of growth for The Parachute Project as we expanded our team and our reach. We are incredibly proud to have supported around 300 school pupils and worked in 6 schools, as well as supporting over 100 one-on-one clients, all with positive feedback. Many of these children would not have been able to get the help they needed without the generous support and donations from local businesses. We are thrilled to have launched a new community hub in Fakenham alongside Grocott and Murfit’s Building Norfolk, aptly named “Safe Landing Community Hub.” It will serve as a secondary office base for us and allow us to offer free sessions in the community. 2025 looks to be an even more exciting year for The Parachute Project, and we can’t wait to take you along with us for the ride. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthsupport #childrensmentalhealth #childrensmentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthmatters #childrensmentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthadvocate #teenagementalhealth #childrensanxiety #localbusinesses #smallbusiness #communityhub #safelanding

⭐️This Giving Tuesday, Be the Difference Oakland Needs⭐️ Oakland’s housing crisis is pushing families of color out of their communities, leaving many without shelter. We’ve found the perfect opportunity to change that—a property ready to house families immediately at 2231 E 28th Street. But there’s an urgent challenge: we have less than 60 days to raise $500,000, or we’ll lose this opportunity. 💛How You Can Help: 1. Donate today at www.just-homes.org. Every dollar brings us closer to our goal. 2. Start a Giving Tuesday fundraiser with your family and friends to amplify the impact. 3. Share this post to spread the word. 🎯Why It Matters: This isn’t just a property—it’s a safe haven for families to heal, rebuild, and thrive. The spacious rooms, private entrances, and beautiful backyard make it the ideal place to provide stability and dignity to those who need it most. Time is running out. Let’s show what community power can do. Together, we can turn the tide and ensure no family is left behind. 👉🏽 www.just-homes.org #GivingTuesday #JustHomes #HousingJustice #OaklandHousingCrisis #ActNow #DonateToday #SupportBIPOCFamilies

Today is a day of uncertainty and waiting. As Hillsborough County comes together to create safe havens during the storm, here are things that we know for certain. 1. We are a large county, both geographically and in population. We see how our community is welcoming those in evacuation zones and are grateful. 2. Some people will lose everything. The need after Milton will be even higher than it was after Helene, particularly since relief efforts for Helene were still in the beginning stages. 3. We will need help. One of the best ways you can support us is through monetary donations. While this may feel less personal, here's why it helps: ⭐ Funds allow us flexibility to meet specific needs as we encounter them. ⭐ Funds allow us to strategically plan to make the greatest impact. ⭐ Funds do not have to be physically stored when space is limited. If you would like to help, consider contributing at https://lnkd.in/dPSh_aSf Donations are used to fund essentials for kids.

At Adonis Partners, we believe that success is measured not only by what we achieve in the workplace but also by how we give back to people and their communities. This video highlights our efforts in transforming a local school in Los Palos, Dominican Republic by building safe infrastructure and creating spaces where children can learn and play. At our core, we are driven by a purpose: to share, serve, and create value for others. That’s why we donate over 20% of our profits annually to charities and community service organizations. We know that even the smallest action can spark meaningful change. Altogether, giving back is not just a responsibility—it’s a principle we live by—and the work we do in communities like Los Palos reflects our belief that when we come together, we can truly make an impact. #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #CorporateResponsibility

I donated $1 million to #LA4LA, a public-private partnership program spearheaded by Mayor Karen Bass. I'm so happy 58 units of long-term, affordable housing have been filled through the building of the Eaves Development. Solving California's homelessness crisis is one of my top priorities. However, let me be clear: one building with 58 units is not success for an entire program. It does not fix anything. The direct impact made on those families is priceless, but the cost of private donations is not. Public-private partnerships only work with TRUST & RESULTS. Government officials squander our money and their approach is proven time & time again to be ineffective. They don't understand how to best implement large investments because they've never signed the front of a check. The numbers don't lie: we have 75,000 homeless people living in LA County. 58 units will not make a dent. It's time for a new perspective. #CAGetACloo #California #LosAngeles #Homelessness #HousingProject #Philanthropy #PublicPrivatePartnership #Accountability #KarenBass

With NeighborLink new platform, anyone from anywhere at any time can ask for help or offer assistance to their neighbors however they need. Regarding all the ways the community can help support NeighborLink, Eric said there are three main ways to join the mission. The first is if someone needs help, to sign up and ask for help. The second way to do our part is for everyone to sign up and select projects to help our neighbors, get to know them, and create a lasting relationship. The final way you can help is through donations. Donations allow NeighborLink to help relieve some of the financial burdens of larger projects that require various costly materials. Charity—whether through money, food, clothing, or toys—is a vital practice that we should make a regular part of our lives. In Islam, even a simple smile is considered an act of charity. It’s inspiring to see people dedicate their time and effort to something spiritually enriching while supporting those in need. Here are some key takeaways about charity and its significance in Islam. Charity helps alleviate poverty, reduce inequality, and strengthen bonds within the community, fostering a sense of mutual care and responsibility. Islam emphasizes that acts of charity, big or small, are significant in the eyes of Allah, as I said above even a smile can count as charity. In fact , Zakat(charity) is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, requiring Muslims to give a fixed percentage (usually 2.5%) of their wealth annually to help the needy, support social welfare, and promote economic balance. Charity is considered a way to purify one’s wealth and soul, reduce greed, and earn Allah’s blessings and forgiveness. The Qur’an and Hadith frequently promise immense rewards for those who give generously. Ultimately, charity benefits both the giver and the receiver, serving as a powerful means to foster a more just, fair, and compassionate society.
With Christmas fast approaching, I felt inspired to give back to the community in a meaningful way. I therefore personally took the lead in organising Christmas pamper boxes for women and children in refuge at Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP). This involved planning, coordinating donations, and working closely with Deborah from PDAP to ensure we could make a real impact for their clients in need. Our Family Department already work very closely with PDAP who are a key provider of domestic abuse services in Kirklees so it was incredibly rewarding to hear how much this will mean to the families at the refuge. Also, many thanks to the two offices that donated, we successfully gathered enough donations to fill four boxes!

Better Decisions Counseling needs donations for its new transitional house. It does not have to be money. It can be furniture, especially bedroom and living room furniture, dishes, bathroom items, or whatever extra you have lying around your house. Even clothing or shoes. Bring the donations to the office of Better Decisions Counseling located at 10366 Rockingham Drive, Sacramento, CA 95827. You can also call (916)368-0700 if you know someone who needs help from Better Decisions Counseling with counseling. The house will be a 12-bed transitional house for individuals or couples getting a second chance at life and a helping hand back into normal society. People who were once homeless addicts especially those who were justice-involved, could use your help as mentors. #donate #volunteer #love #helpingothers #homelesspeople #helpthehomeless #help #support #givebacktothecommunity #housing #HopeAndHealing #mentalhealth #homelessoutreach #socialjustice #homelessawareness #street #homelessshelter #hunger

HELP HOMELESS STREET ANGELS GET BACK ON THE ROAD 🙏 For years, the Homeless Street Angels have been a lifeline for those experiencing homelessness, providing food, clothing, and support on the streets. Their ford transit van was not just a vehicle—it was hope on wheels, bringing comfort to those in desperate need. ❤️ But now, that hope is parked indefinitely. The van is out of commission, and the streets are colder without the Angels’ vital support. 💔 We Need Your Help 💔 If we can come together as a LinkedIn community, we can get the Angels back on the road where they belong. Whether it’s a donation, a connection to someone who can provide a van, or even spreading this message to your networks—every action matters. 🙏 Let’s show that the power of LinkedIn extends far beyond business, and into the heart of our communities. If you or your company has a ford transit van, or if you know of anyone who can help, please get in touch. Together, we can keep hope alive for those who need it most. #HomelessStreetAngels #CommunitySupport #LinkedInForGood #DonateNow #MakeADifference Shelley Joyce Becky Joyce
