If we weren`t being purchased by Special Education,it wouldn`t happen. What`s been great is I encourage them to start special ed earlier. We can`t wait till grade 3-4 to intervene, we have to do it intensely in grade 2-3. York Catholic DSB is intervening all the way to grade 8. Why not high school? Who would be doing that teaching? To date,we haven`t been able to convince anyone to do #readingintervention in grade 1. #Remediationplus Large school boards involved and standardizations,or roll outs. On the fence? Pilot in a minimum of 5 schools.

It's not often I find myself praising Labour Government actions and it is likely to be the last, but I have to give credit where it's due. While the Winter Fuel Allowance debacle still needs addressing, the Labour Government's decision to scrap single-word Ofsted judgements is a significant win for schools. This move recognises the complexity of education and offers a more nuanced view of school performance, benefiting students, teachers, and parents alike. Here's to hoping we see more thoughtful and constructive changes like this in the future—perhaps even restoring the Winter Fuel Allowance (sorry, I tried to remain positive). #EducationReform #PositiveChange #SupportingSchools
We have scrapped one-word Ofsted judgements. From September 2025, School Report Cards will provide parents with a complete picture of school performance driving high and rising standards. Hear what teachers think about the changes.
