You know that one #PhD supervisor who never let go of their coffee mug? Years later, you still see them enjoying their cup, even at an older age. Turns out, they might be onto something! Recent research published in the Endocrine Society’s Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism shows that moderate #coffee or caffeine consumption could protect against multiple cardiometabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and stroke. 📊 In fact, consuming three cups of coffee or 200-300 mg of #caffeine per day may lower the risk of developing these diseases by up to 48.1%! With the increasing prevalence of #cardiometabolicdiseases, this is more than just a small health boost—it’s a public health opportunity. By promoting moderate coffee or caffeine consumption as a healthy habit, both individuals and companies could see long-term benefits. Whether it's about boosting employee wellness or shaping personal brand narratives around #lifestyle choices, adopting such practices could become part of a more holistic approach to well-being in both personal and professional life. ☕ What’s your daily coffee routine? It might just be contributing to more than your focus. • An older PhD supervisor sitting at a desk in a cozy, academic office setting with bookshelves full of research papers and scientific books. The supervisor is holding a coffee mug while looking content, with a laptop open in front of them. Surrounding them are floating icons representing health benefits, such as a heart for cardiovascular health, a brain for mental well-being, and a shield symbolizing protection. In the background, a subtle bar graph shows declining risks of diseases like diabetes, stroke, and heart disease as coffee consumption increases. The office has a warm, scholarly atmosphere, and the image conveys both wisdom and a sense of personal well-being through routine coffee drinking
