A Revolution of The Soul.
This was the theme of PolicyLink's Equity Summit that I attended last week in ATL.
There is so much I want to share about what I learned, what I have reflected, and I will start here:
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲
Radical love might sound soft, but for today’s business leaders, it’s a powerful strategy for success. Leaders like MLK and bell hooks understood that love is about action, responsibility, and creating environments where everyone can thrive. In business, this translates to embedding empathy into our decision-making, which drives innovation, productivity, and loyalty.
Key reflections for Business Leaders:
• 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: Are you fostering a culture that values people as more than resources?
• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺: Acknowledge where your business might be causing harm—whether it's in workforce treatment, supply chain decisions, or customer interactions—and actively work to repair it.
• 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: Leading with love means creating sustainable growth that benefits employees, customers, and communities alike.
Leading with love isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s smart business.
