It was a great pleasure to be part of the discussion group on "G" in the context of the SPORT4IMPACT ESG Symposium organsied by Paolo Bertaccini Bonoli. Erika Riedl, Severin Moritzer, Argyro Elisavet Manoli highlighted well how goverance stands for integrity, anti-corruption and ethics which are absolutly essential. Governance stands also for closing the immense gaps between men and women in aspirations, opportunities, and outcomes, including in sports. As all countries fall behind the equality targets set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, discussions on the intersectionality between corruption and gender discrimination are key to support political, economic and social progress, including in sports. Integrity, anti-corruption and transparency as well as gender equality efforts tend to be mutually reinforcing.
