It’s Construction Safety Week, but good safety practices are always enforced at The Trevino Group! Each week we gather for our safety meetings, ensuring that proactive measures are in place to safeguard each team member. This week’s focus: Ariel Lifts and Platform Safety. Prior to beginning work, it is essential to conduct a site hazard assessment and ensure that worksite conditions permit safe use of aerial lifts. This includes checking for terrain conditions, obstructions, pedestrian and traffic controls, exposure to weather, electrical hazards, and any other hazardous conditions. Not only do we conduct inspections before we begin work, but before each use as well. Operators must perform a visual inspection to ensure all components are in good working condition. Then all lift controls are tested and if deemed damaged or defective, the lift must be tagged and removed from service. It is also important to be aware of the common hazards that could occur, and what you can do to prevent them. This could include having appropriate PPE, insulating power lines, fall protection, and overall executing a job the proper way. Let’s continue to foster a safe working environment this week, and every week after. #ConstructionSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst #JobSiteSafety #AerialLifts #PlatfromSafety #BuildingVisions #TTG

🚧 Happy Construction Safety Week (Safety Tip Day 4)! 🚧 Let's talk about the importance of inspecting tools before every use to ensure safety on the job site. 🔍 When it comes to handheld power tools, following general safety rules is crucial: 1 Inspect Before Use: Always check tools to ensure they're in proper working condition before each use. 2. Repair or Replace Defective Tools: Any tool that's defective, damaged, or worn to the point of being unsafe should be repaired, replaced, or discarded. 3. Wear Proper PPE: Operators using power-driven tools must always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 4. Disconnect Power Source: Before repairing or changing any part of the tool, disconnect the power source to avoid accidents. 5. Regular Testing: Governor-controlled tools should be tested regularly to ensure they operate within specified speeds. 6. Safety Features: Hand-held power tools should be equipped with a constant pressure switch (dead-man switch) for automatic shut-off. Whether it's electric, air-powered, or gasoline-powered tools, each requires specific precautions: 1. Electric Tools: Inspect cords, plugs, and housing for damage. Ensure all guards are in place and functioning properly. 2. Air-Powered Tools: Routinely inspect the supply hose and keep the safety chain connected. Check air pressure to ensure it's at the recommended level. 3. Gasoline-Powered Tools: Store gasoline safely, shut down the motor before refueling, and keep ignition sources away from the area. By prioritizing tool inspection and maintenance, we ensure a safer work environment for everyone. Let's keep our tools in top condition and our team out of harm's way. #ConstructionSafetyWeek #ToolInspection #SafetyFirst [Disclosure: The information provided is intended for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal or professional advice. It’s the beginning of Construction Safety Week, and our theme for the day is "Driving Personal Ownership." In the construction industry, safety is paramount. We have extensive standards, processes and procedures in place to keep everyone safe. However, accidents can still happen if we don't maintain a consistent focus on safety. That's why it's crucial for each one of us to take personal responsibility for our safety and the safety of others. If you see an unsafe condition or behavior, remember: you own it. Don't walk by and ignore it, because that's the same as condoning it. Let's make this Construction Safety Week a time of heightened awareness and commitment to safety. Together, we can create a safer work environment for everyone. 💪👷♂️👷♀️ Check out how RK prioritizes safety: https://lnkd.in/gmvt3s2r #ConstructionSafetyWeek #PersonalOwnership #SafetyFirst

🚷 It's Day 4 of Construction Safety Week, and today we're diving into the critical topic of safety protocols. Safety protocols are the backbone of any construction operation, providing clear guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of everyone on-site. From wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) to implementing proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures, safety protocols cover a wide range of practices aimed at mitigating risks. They are designed not only to protect individual workers but also to safeguard the entire construction site environment. Adhering to safety protocols isn't just about following rules; it's about fostering a culture of safety where everyone takes responsibility for their actions and looks out for one another. It involves regular training, open communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. By prioritizing safety protocols, we demonstrate our dedication to creating a workplace where every worker can return home safely at the end of the day. Let's recommit ourselves to upholding these protocols each day, ensuring that safety remains our top priority. Together, we can build a safer and more resilient construction industry. #SafetyProtocols #ConstructionSafetyWeek #murphymanpower🔒

Safety should always be the top priority on high-rise construction sites! This video highlights the life-saving importance of using a full-body safety harness. Proper anchoring of the harness is essential—it’s not just a strap; it’s a lifeline that can prevent severe injuries or even save a worker's life in case of a fall. But safety doesn’t stop there. Every site must have an emergency rescue plan in place. Quick action after a fall is crucial to prevent suspension trauma and get workers the help they need immediately. Regular training, equipment checks, and strict adherence to safety protocols make all the difference. This isn’t just about following rules; it’s about making sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. Remember, safety isn’t optional—stay secured, stay prepared, and protect lives on every job site!
