🌟 #SurpriseAndDelightSunday 🌟 Last night, I had the pleasure of bartending for a private 50th birthday celebration at our hotel. The event was intimate, attended by a small group of the guest’s closest friends. As I was serving, I overheard a conversation about the specific whisky he was enjoying—Angel’s Envy. It was clear that our guest of honor was a true whisky enthusiast. Knowing how special this milestone birthday is, I wanted to add a personal touch to the celebration. Earlier in the evening, I had gathered our kitchen, management, and FOH team members to sign a birthday card filled with warm and kind notes for the guest. As the night progressed, I remembered a bottle of special Nikka Japanese whisky I had in storage from a past cocktail competition—it’s one of my favorites. The shared elements of sweetness and fruitiness make this Nikka a natural progression for someone who appreciates the balanced flavors in Angel’s Envy but is looking for something with more intensity and complexity. I knew he would appreciate the nuances of the Nikka as much as he did the Angel’s Envy. To make our guest’s birthday even more memorable, I poured a dram of the Nikka into a small glass bottle, labeled it, wrapped it in paper, and placed it in a Conrad LA bag alongside the heartfelt birthday card. When I presented the guest with the bag, card, and small bottle of whisky, he was completely blown away by the attention to detail and the thoughtfulness shown in such a short time. While we may not be as close to our guests as their friends and family, in that moment, we are part of their experience. It’s our responsibility to help make these special moments truly unforgettable. We may only have a brief opportunity to connect with our guests, but those moments can have an impact that lasts a lifetime. Introducing, Florian Beuren, Global Jägermeister Manifest Ambassador, Jägermeister UK Ambassador and this week’s incredible #IndustryInspiration ! 👏 Florian embarked on his journey in hospitality in Germany, entering his first classic cocktail competition in 1998! A few years later, Florian decided to move to London to follow his passion for bartending! In 2009, Florian won the Bacardi street fight championship in Bratislava, resulting in him travelling the world and meeting some incredible bartenders. All of these experiences led to his current position at Jägermeister. Delving into his role, Florian explains, “My role is to focus on the liquid and education but also some events like the Meister Hunter and our Hubertus Circle. Education for example is very important as a lot of people know Jägermeister but not so much how it’s made or how to drink it. Our Hubertus circle is our Jägermeister bartender program which is in 19 countries around the world and in the UK. Our HC is supporting our sales force and marketing team at every event, festival and also at training sessions! Last but not least I started our Jägermeister Meister Hunter cocktail competition 7 years ago and this year’s competition is taking place in Finland, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and the UK with the Final in London on the 11th of November.” Speaking on his love for the brand, Florian shares, “First of all it’s the people I work with which make it a lot of fun. Plus Jägermeister is a cool brand and when I was working behind the bar it was my shot of choice! We are still family owned and I love the freedom and creativity I can add to my work.” The future looks bright for Florian, as he shares his goals, “For me it’s important to be close to the bar industry and to grow things like our Meister Hunter competition further, plus support our Hubertus Circle bartender’s to achieve their goals. As well as, focusing on my two roles the UK and the global role and make sure everyone knows all about what Jägermeister, Jägermeister Manifest and the portfolio is and how you serve it, how versatile the liquids are and what it can add to your drink.” To conclude, Florian offers some words of advice to fellow hospitality professionals, stating, “I think bartenders are the perfect ambassadors as that is something they do already behind the bar; you make great drinks, you sell, you advise and educate your customer. If you work hard and enjoy what you are doing combined with the drive and passion to succeed then I believe good things will come!”

The #Concept of #Nightclubs is fading , and this business that used to be a #Cashmachine in the past is struggling for survival and for keeping afloat. The last reports shows that the number of nightclubs in the UK was close to 1700 back in 2013 and is close to 600 in 2024 . The Covid had an impact on the business but also the big shunk of customers have moved to the trend of #Restaurantbars where #Dining and #Dancing is combined and #Musichalls that hosts unique #Musical #Concerts . #Restaurants with #DJ , smaller #Pubs are becoming more popular . If you are a potential investor in the #Nightclub business , it is important to justify your investment and consider looking the trends... instead of investing in a huge place that needs 1000 plus customers to make a profit , it would be better to invest in two or three smaller units that would need 150-200 customers that would guarantee #Profitability . #Times and #Trends are changing.#Future of #Hospitality
