What is PTSD? Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a condition that can develop after someone experiences a traumatic event. While often associated with military service, PTSD affects not only Veterans but also First Responders who face intense situations daily. But did you know that PTSD doesn’t just impact those directly involved? Families can suffer from Secondary PTSD, experiencing the emotional and psychological toll as they support their loved ones through their struggles. At The Warfighters Mission, we understand the deep impact PTSD has on both individuals and their families. We are committed to serving Active Duty Military, Veterans, First Responders, and their families with our Peer Support Program and other essential services. If you or a loved one is struggling, remember that you are not alone. Together, we can find hope and healing. Homelessness among veterans is a crisis we cannot ignore. In 2023, the number of military veterans experiencing homelessness in England rose by a staggering 14%, reaching 2,110 individuals (Source: Department of Housing report). Behind these statistics are real people - those who served their country, now struggling to find shelter and stability. At IDE Systems, we believe this is 2,110 too many. That’s why we’re proud to support the Regiment Support Service and their Homeless Soldier Project, which provides vital resources for veterans in need. To help fund this work, we’re contributing to the production of Homeless Soldier lapel badges - symbols of support for those who gave so much for us. You can make a difference by purchasing a badge here: https://lnkd.in/dstEA_Ke Together, let’s ensure no veteran is left behind. Your support matters.

Military children are often the ones who make sacrifices alongside their parents. They adapt to frequent moves, change schools, and sometimes face long separations from loved ones. Their resilience, strength, and unwavering support for their families inspire us all. Homes for Heroes acknowledges their unique experiences and contributions. Here are ways we can all work to uplift their spirits and let them know they are valued and appreciated: Personalized Gifts: Consider giving military children personalized gifts such as books, art supplies, or custom-made items that celebrate their bravery and strength. Recognition Events: Organize or attend local events where military children can be publicly recognized and appreciated for their sacrifices and achievements. Volunteer Support: Offer your time and resources to support military families in your community. Whether it’s tutoring, mentorship, or simply lending a listening ear, your efforts can make a difference. Storytelling: Share the stories of military children and their experiences. Amplifying their voices helps us understand their journeys and the challenges they face. Let’s come together to celebrate these remarkable young people and show them our gratitude for their courage and resilience. Thank you to all military children and their families for your service and sacrifices! 🇺🇸 #HomesforHeroes #MilitaryChildren #ThankYou

You probably imagine who you’d want caring for your kids if something happened to you. 👪 But if you don’t put your plans on paper, the final decision of who will care for your kids, raise them, and manage their money if you die or become incapacitated is left up to a judge who doesn’t know them or your family. ⚖️ Read this week’s blog to learn more. 💻 👀▶️ https://lnkd.in/dbb3G69R #compasslegalplanning #compasslegalplanningOK #estateplanning #willsandtrusts #OKestateplanningattorney #powerofattorney #healthcaredirectives #kidsprotectionplan #assetprotection #buildyourlegacy #familylegacy #outdooradventure #OKmom #OKdad #OKveterans #OKmilitary #guidingfamiliesforward

“The Military Relations Team well understands PTSD. Having that experience and genuine connection is hard to place into words, other than it’s an instant release to be back to a place where you’re understood, welcomed, accepted, and able to feel safe with other veterans.” — Lee Bonar, Military Relations Director For over 75% of service members and veterans serving post-9/11, the effects of war and service have led to PTSD. At HOPE, we understand the impact this has on our military community and their families and strive to provide resources, programs, and services dedicated to improving the quality of life for all those with PTSD. Learn more about how one such program, our Military Veteran Program (MVP), alleviates the stresses associated with PTSD: https://lnkd.in/ePj-x8HB
