Alternative Proteins Association’s Post

It’s great to see the Dutch public entity Invest-NL and the European Commission investing in promising and upcoming food companies such as Mosa Meat, an APA member. We hope that the UK will take a similarly proactive and innovative approach to supporting the growing alternatives protein industry such as smart regulations and investments in infrastructure. Congratulations to everyone at Mosa Meat. #cultivatedmeat #novelfoods #proteins

We are pleased to announce we are welcoming new and existing partners to help bring cultivated beef to consumers, as part of €40M in new capital raised to finance the next phase for the company.   The oversubscribed round was led by Lowercarbon Capital and M Ventures . Investors include new government-backed partners like Invest-NL, the Dutch state-owned impact investor, partly with coverage by InvestEU, the European Commission program supporting initiatives that align with EU policy priorities, the Limburgs Energie Fonds (LEF) B.V. the regional fund supporting greenhouse gas emissions reduction and LIOF, the regional development agency for the Limburg province. New partners with a background in the conventional meat sector were also added, including the PHW Group, one of Europe’s largest poultry producers. Furthermore, XO Ventures, Doux Investments and other new investors joined existing investors to create a more diverse and resilient food system together. #cellularagriculture #cultivatedmeat #mosameat
