I love this - caring FOR people is different than caring ABOUT people. It requires you to understand, get up close, ask for feedback, and listen. If you are a leader, how do you prioritize caring for your people? #servantleadership #leadership

There's a big difference between caring "about" people and caring *for* people. Caring about people is easy. We can do it from a distance. Caring for people requires that we understand them. We must get up close. Understanding people requires the skills to see and hear them truly. 📹 2024 Small Giants Community Summit #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #mattering

As a leader, how do you show that you care? Many leaders hesitate to get up close – to truly understand their people and dig into the uncomfortable parts of being human in the workplace. Yet, this understanding is essential for both individual and organizational growth. Understanding people demands the ability to go beyond the surface. It involves asking questions, actively listening, and demonstrating empathy, all while being aware of your people's unique strengths, challenges, and goals. Caring "about" people is easy; caring "for" people requires awareness and understanding. Let's figure out how to do more of that. #Leadership #Empathy #Understanding #TeamSupport #TransformationalLeadership #HumanLeadership

Great short video by Zach Mercurio, Ph.D.! This reminds me a lot of empathy leadership skills which is having the ability to understand the needs of others, and being aware of their feelings and thoughts. Leaders that employees feel cared for build trusting, supportive, and psychologically safe workplace environment. How can you show you care for someone within your organization? #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #empatheticleadership #supportiveworkplace #trustingenvironment #iopsych #iopsychology #interpersonalskills #socialawareness #emotionalintelligence #eq

Are You Using Your Leadership Wisely? Yesterday I had lunch with a high-capacity leader, and our conversation really struck a chord with me. We were talking about the highs, the lows, and everything in between when it comes to ministry and leadership. You know, as leaders, we often find ourselves jumping in and doing all the things—because we can, and because they need to get done. But it got me thinking… What if, instead of doing everything, we took a step back to evaluate where our best and highest use truly lies? Where can we make the biggest impact in our job, ministry, life, and our community? Sure, there are times when we need to roll up our sleeves and tackle the tasks at hand. But there’s also great wisdom in pulling back and focusing on where our unique gifts can make the most difference. So, here’s a question to wrestle with today: Where is your best and highest use in your current season of life and leadership? Let’s have these conversations together in our Ministry Chick community and coaching groups. https://lnkd.in/gnwCVKJF If you’re not already connected, we’d love to have you join us. Let’s use our leadership for His glory, in the best and highest way possible! #MinistryLeadership #UseYourGifts #WomenInMinistry #PurposefulLeadership #MinistryChick #MinistryCoach #WomenInLeadership #FemalePastors #MinistryLeaders #PastorsWives #WomenOfFaith

Leadership especially in aged care isn’t so much about power — but about serving your team, residents, and their families with compassion and integrity. It’s about wanting to be a positive influence on everyone in your team, even if they don’t see your vision initially. Every decision you make has the power to impact lives, and that’s a purpose worth showing up for every single day. 💙 #agedcare #leadership #leadershipcoaching #leadershiproles #agedcareleader
