LETTERS TO AGRITECH FOUNDERS(53) Dear Agritech Founders, As you embark on your journey in the agritech industry, I urge you to prioritize scalability from the outset. While it's natural to focus on developing your product, it's equally important to strategize for growth and market expansion. Too often, startups overlook the significance of a robust go-to-market (GTM) strategy, which can impede progress and hinder innovation. Consider integrating scalability into your business plan from day one. Anticipate the challenges and opportunities that come with growth, and design your product with scalability in mind. This proactive approach will help you maintain momentum and navigate challenges more effectively as your business evolves. Remember, successful scaling requires more than just a great product—it demands a comprehensive understanding of your target market, effective distribution channels, and adaptable growth tactics. By prioritizing scalability and integrating it into your business strategy, you'll position your agritech startup for long-term success and sustainability. Best wishes on your entrepreneurial journey, Kenneth Obayuwana If you like this kind of content Follow me Kenneth Obayuwana as I keep sharing valuable content and opportunities that can help your Agritech company grow and don't forget to share/repost for more Agritech Founders to see this. 🌳 Last week, I had the incredible honor of being invited as a jury member at the AgriFoodTech & Bioeconomy Startup Pitch Battle 2024, powered by Innovation Agency Lithuania in collaboration with Baltic Sandbox Ventures. 🎯 It was truly inspiring to witness the innovation and passion of the startups participating in the event. With so many brilliant ideas and solutions on display, it was no easy task to select the top contenders. 🌟 💡 A few tips for startups gearing up for their next pitch battle (when presenting in front of the jury, ensure your presentation is top-notch by considering these key elements): ➡ Highlight the innovative aspects of your product. What sets it apart from competitors? Emphasize what makes your product truly unique and innovative. ➡ Clearly define your target market. Demonstrate how your product meets the needs of the market and outline your market entry strategy. Who are your users? Make sure they're clearly defined in your presentation. ➡Showcase a clear business model. Articulate how your product will generate revenue and sustain growth in the long term. ➡Introduce your talented team. Provide photos and compelling descriptions that leave no doubt about the expertise, vision, and motivation of your team members. To all the AgriFoodTech & Bioeconomy startups out there, keep pushing boundaries and driving positive change in our world. Your creativity and dedication are shaping the future of agriculture and bioeconomy. 💡 Looking forward to seeing these startups thrive and make a lasting impact! 💚 #AgriFoodTech #Bioeconomy #Innovation #StartupPitchBattle #greenhorizonssummit2024

LETTERS TO AGRITECH FOUNDERS(55) Dear Agritech Founders, I hope this message finds you well. I want to share some thoughts with you on a key difference between startups and large organizations. One of the key differences between startup and large organisation is FOCUS In many cases, large organizations tend to address horizontal pain points and overlook niche, verticalized problems because they may not seem significant enough for them. However, for startups, these niche areas represent golden opportunities to truly differentiate themselves. By focusing on niche, verticalized problems and effectively solving them, startups have the chance to carve out a unique position in the market and establish themselves as leaders in their respective domains. Historically, vertical niches have proven to be areas where startups can thrive, leveraging their agility, innovation, and ability to deeply understand and address specific customer needs. As agritech founders, it's essential to recognize and seize these opportunities, as they can lead to sustainable growth and long-term success for your ventures. Let's continue to explore and exploit these vertical niches to drive innovation and create impactful solutions for the agricultural industry. Best regards, Kenneth Obayuwana If you like this kind of content Follow me Kenneth Obayuwana as I keep sharing valuable content and opportunities that can help your Agritech company grow and don't forget to share/repost for more Agritech Founders to see this. Today marks our one year anniversary as a startup 🍻🎉 as its Aprils fools🃏 I will try to make a joke out of it. The joke being that a lot more time goes into starting a venture than initially expected. My co-founder Inge Vermeer described it perfectly: “having a startup is like sprinting a marathon 🏃♀️trying to set a world record 🥇without prior training”. I think every founder can relate to this statement 😂 Even though we are officially registered for a year we have actually been working on BrewRight for 2,5 years ⏱️ Rather than focussing on what we have done so far I want to focus instead on what we are doing and the goals of this year 🥅 🔬Research and development is central this year by collaborating with reseach institutes and SMEs. We want to start prototyping next year on our hardware and software element in order to get there we are writing subsidies ✍🏻 to align with the reseach trajectories. Getting into the biotech space to show the scalability and potential of our solution. Our mission has an additional angle: to support the biotech industry in the transition to net zero 2050 📈 - We have joined the global accelerator Nucleate during this program we have 2 new team members who joined us: Amardeep S. and Niels Fjerdingstad and 4 mentors: Manoj Patel, Wanwipa Siriwatwechakul, Jacob Goodwin and Thiemo Woertge - We are participating in the DSM-firmenich kickstarter as one of the 9 finalists thanks Bouke de Jong, Cornelis Mijnders and Planet B.io for inviting us! Validating our business models with more market research 📝 into alcoholic fermentation and precision fermentation. If you want to work with us on any of the previously mentioned goals reach out to us 👌🏻 Enjoy the road that the sprint takes you on, and try to learn/grow by doing! #biotechnology #fermentation #startup
