When we think about confidence, we often picture it as a destination, something we’ll feel after we’ve achieved more, done better, or proven ourselves. However, confidence isn’t something you arrive at; it’s something you build through action. It’s in the moments when you step out of your comfort zone, not because you feel fearless, but because you’ve decided to trust yourself enough to try. Most of us aren’t taught how to build confidence. We think it’s tied to accomplishments, appearances, or other people’s opinions. Real confidence comes from something deeper: knowing who you are, owning your strengths, and showing up anyway even when it feels scary. That’s the perspective we’re taking with our course. 5 things you need to do in December. - Celebrate your little wins - Engage in self reflection. - Celebrate your LinkedIn community. - Attend concerts and fun events. - Eat Jollof rice and chicken. This is not the time to whine about goals you couldn’t achieve. Doing that won’t achieve the goals. Instead, focus on celebrating how far you’ve come, connect with your network, reflect on your growth, and enjoy the festivities around you. December is about embracing joy and gratitude, not regret. Christmas Dos: Do you Do, or do you Not Do them? Time of Dos is upon us! Some people love them, and some people hate them. I believe they may be not so good if the party comes with a sense of an unnecessary obligation to attend, or with no consideration of people’s needs. It may then end up being counterproductive and cause more stress. I am in favour though if the event is well-planned from the perspective of it being inclusive, taking into account people’s preferences and outside commitments, as well as maybe having a positive theme of celebrating the achievements of the year. It can be a good morale-boost and an opportunity to have a fun social event and a catch-up with those who we are not always in contact with. What are your thoughts? Stress or Fun?

Happy New Week family! Here are a few thoughts to ponder over as we begin a new week.   When it comes to self-respect, nobody can give what they don’t have. And what you give to yourself is what you can give to others…   Below are 6 lessons from my experience with self-respect, which has guided my personal and professional life.   1. Know your worth.  ➙ Respecting yourself has nothing to do with pride and arrogance. It has everything to do with who you know you are. 2. Stop looking for those who are not looking for you. ➙ If a person deliberately makes you an afterthought in their life, it’s time to advise yourself. ➙ When people find it difficult to reciprocate, place value on yourself and let them be.   3. Set Boundaries for your personal and professional life. ➙ Have your personal beliefs and personal boundaries. ➙ Clearly define what you accept and what you don’t accept.   4.  Say thank you when someone does something good for you. ➙ Always learn to say thank you in person or give the person a call to say thank you if possible. Remember: 👇 When someone does something good for you, they know it. So don’t forget either.   5. Reduce how you stay in touch with someone or people who do not reciprocate. ➙ When you sow and don’t receive benefits, STOP IT. Not hatefully, but wisely. Remember: 👇 Don’t open yourself up for people to crush and wound your SPIRIT. 6. When you call someone’s number twice its enough. If they value you, they’ll call you back. ➙ Once or twice is all you need. They’ll call you back if they value the call. Setting my intentions for the week is my favourite part of Sunday evening (well that and Strictly Come Dancing obvs 💃 ). It's so engrained in me now that if I skip it, I feel like I'm going in to the week with a blindfold on 👀 So what does getting intentional look like for me? 📅 Being organised; looking through my diary, knowing what I need for certain meetings, booking my gym classes... 🎯 Identifying actions that are going to get me closer to my big hairy ones. I normally try and keep it to 3 small actions to give myself half a chance. They can range from getting more sleep to attending a networking event. 🧠 Focussing on desired outcomes, for example, how I want a certain client to feel after our session, what I want to achieve through my social media content, what I want to get out of time spent at an event... It seems a lot but really it's not. It's around 1️⃣ 5️⃣ minutes of pure, joyful thinking time. Time well spent because I go in to my week knowing: ⭐ What I need to do ⭐ Where I need to focus my energy ⭐ What I want to achieve, and ⭐ How I want to feel Do you go in to your week feeling in control, or do you allow your week to control you?
