Mj #music #mondays Sometimes it’s okay not to mention #cannabis specifically when appealing to the broader #cannabisculture There are those artists that smoked, partied but never went too far in-depth with discussing cannabis use itself. Bob Fylan is a great example of this. Does he smoke pot? We know he does, and while very few songs make mention of it directly, he has been one of the artists that stood in unity with the hippies fighting against #war.. fighting for free #love and #peace, man… Songs like ‘Times are A Changing’ or even ‘Masters of War’ show the spirit of defiance against the American military industrial complex, while songs like ‘Ballad of a Thin Man’ or ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ capture that more creative out-there vibe that he was pioneering at the time with New Folk. When I think currently about how to tie this into a brief outlook on the #Canadian #cannabisindustry the song that seems fitting is ‘Don’t Think Twice it’s Alright’ Written by Hob Dylan in 1962, this guitar picked track was released on the album The Freewheelin Bob Dylan.. an album I believe I’ve posted about before on a previous music Monday. That slow walking away moment from the hulk, leaving a long and arduous adventure, toxic relationships and and endless cycle of negativity is an ideal I would like to see in this space. For the people that care about the plant as advocates, or even fanatics, I see those true believers in the future of the industry walking down a dirt road, baluchamp toed and slung over the shoulder.. just walking away. Throughout the last ten years of cannabis culture for me, I love watched a lot of people just walk away.. and I’ve had to walk on a number of endeavours. So, maybe we can call this a love ballad from the Butter Baron to those Canadian provincial boards.. where himself would never launch my product line. While the Baron walks off down the dirt road he wishes a consolation to those he left behind: Don’t think twice, it’s alright. .. or.. maybe it’s just a good tune. https://lnkd.in/eQWAabVg

Another great reminder to always have an estate plan. Yikes! It's wild to think someone as successful as Prince never had a plan. The article has some good take-aways at the end. Take a look 👻
A prolific songwriter and producer, Prince managed to release nine albums during the 1980s alone. Unfortunately, Prince might have spent a little too much time in the recording studio with his band mates in The Revolution because he completely forgot to create and execute an estate plan. Read this week's article in my October series, Scary Stories From the World of Estate Planning - The Prince Who Left No Plan. https://lnkd.in/gtXUpNQC
