Today marks International Women's Day, a day where Organisations come together for morning tea and put up banners as we envision a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. But let's not just imagine; let's talk about the uncomfortable truths. While celebrating women's achievements is crucial, let's also acknowledge the systemic barriers that continue to exist. Let's talk about the gender pay gap, the % difference of representation in leadership roles, and the real everyday hurdles women face. True inclusion means recognising that International Women's Day is not just about women; it's about everyone. It's about actively working towards equality. It's about non-binary and transgender individuals having their voices heard. So, as we celebrate today, let's not shy away from the difficult conversations. Let's commit to taking real action to drive gender parity and create a world where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. #InternationalWomensDay #InspireInclusion https://lnkd.in/gZeF_3Ak

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day, a day where we recognise the individual and cumulative achievements of all women, regardless of race, shape, colour, faith or identity. “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation, but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.” The theme for 2024 is Inspire Inclusion. When women are not present, we must ask “If not, why not?” When we stand together, we can inspire those around us to fully understand the call and need for the inclusion of women in all fields. We strike the #inspireinspiration pose to show that when we truly value difference, inclusion comes from the heart. #inspireinclusion #iwd #internationalwomensday #scg #equality

Today is International Women's Day 2024. Celebrated globally each year on March 8th, International Women's Day recognizes and honors the cultural, economic, political and social achievements of women. First celebrated in 1911, the idea for International Women's Day rose from the women's suffrage and labor movements during the 20th century. More than sixty years later, the United Nations General Assembly officially adopted International Women's Day in 1977. Since then, it has been commemorated annually on March 8th, with each year's observance centered on a particular theme or issue within women's rights. The theme for International Women's Day 2024 is "Inspire Inclusion" and is meant to "underscore the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality." The theme is intended as a call to action to break barriers, challenge stereotypes and create environments where all women are valued and respected. At Brown & Brown Absence Services Group, we are proud to have a team that is 74% women across all levels of our organization. Throughout the month of March, we will spotlight some of the women who make up the Brown & Brown Absence team and get their perspective on what "Inspire Inclusion" means to them. Inspire Inclusion - this year’s International Women’s Day theme gives me a moment to relect on the position of women in society - both explicit and implicit. For me inclusion starts from within, inside out - how do I see myself as a woman and how do I see my role in society. And, second, with solidarity to other women - women need to be powerful inclusion agents themselves. #iwd2024 #inspireinclusion

It’s March 8th, #InternationalWomensDay2024, and HerRights Global is celebrating with a look at the advances women have made, and the historical experience that shaped our reality. Much of the movement for equality began in 1909 as a call by women for #workersrights and #womensrights, which was seen as deeply radical at the time. They were fighting for safe workplaces, #fairpay and efforts to prevent #sexualassault in war zones and workplaces. These ideas are no longer radical in the eyes of U.S. citizens, but we still haven't achieved the goals. We invite you to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and #inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #InspireInclusion. Join us today! Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity. https://lnkd.in/dGJVP5Z

This year's International Women's Day theme, Inspire Inclusion, is one of my favorites. Let's celebrate our progress and achievements, thank those who have supported, advocated for and raised the bar for all of us AND let's use the opportunity to bring awareness to the challenges that still exist. To me, Inspiring Inclusion isn’t just about who is "allowed" a seat at the table, it's about how we perceive them and treat them, as well. Take communication styles, for example. Studies repeatedly show that more so than men, a woman's tenor, volume, annunciation, and style … all send a non-verbal cue to others about our likability, credibility and ultimately our ability. The good news is, as leaders, we can do something to address this. One very real example is goal setting — having clear and aligned expectations for every role. Your company, department and individual goals should be structured, anchored in outcomes, and measurable. Doing so can remove some of the subjectivity from performance reviews and ensure that we are truly assessing based on performance and not style. Being aware of unconscious bias and taking thoughtful action is one way that I Inspire Inclusion. #iwd2024

Today's awesome thought: There are many challenges of being a woman in today's world. From corporate to motherhood and everything else in between. This is not to take away from challenges faced by men, and, in reality we should all work towards a gender equal world, for the benefit of all. I am appreciative of the continuous collective and individual contributions in working towards a gender equal world. While a lot more still needs to be done to achieve this, I believe it's important to also celebrate those contributions and the work that has been done so far. This is not a women-only cause, we need everyone pulling together so we can a build world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. Visit https://lnkd.in/dYfhyMr2 to learn more. Happy International Women's Day! #8March #InternationalWomensDay2024 #EqualityDiversityInclusion

Today at Infinitek, we honor the achievements and courage of women around the world on International Women's Day. This annual celebration is an opportunity to recognize how far we have come on the long journey towards gender equality, while also acknowledging the obstacles that still remain. Throughout history, pioneering women have shattered glass ceilings, challenged unjust norms, and paved the way for future generations. From the frontlines of civil rights movements to the highest ranks of business, politics, science, and the arts, women have boldly claimed their seat at the table. On this International Women's Day, we are reminded of the boundless potential of women and girls when afforded equal rights and opportunities. We have seen women rise as entrepreneurs, innovators, leaders, and change-makers who improve lives in communities everywhere. Today, we ask you to honor the trailblazing women who inspire you. Celebrate their courage and resilience. But also look inward at the ways we can all champion equity, inclusion, and representation for women every day. Equality and opportunity for women means a stronger, more just world for all. On International Women's Day and beyond, let us celebrate the women creating a better tomorrow.
