With the fall semester coming to a close in the coming weeks, we want to support programs in maintaining their relationships with students graduating and taking on their next chapters in life. 🎓 The Think College National Coordinating Center (NCC) held an information-sharing session where staff from a variety of programs supporting students with IDD shared ideas on how to stay in touch with these graduates and collect follow-up data. 📊 Read more on what we learned at https://lnkd.in/eZ2yHsMG. #IPSE #InclusiveHigherEd #IntellectualDisability #HigherEducation #Graduation #RelationshipBuilding #DataCollection

🎓 Case Study: Wrexham University SU Boosts NSS Scores by 7 points with Unitu! At Unitu, we’re passionate about helping institutions enhance their student engagement, and our partnership with Wrexham Students' Union is a perfect example. 💬Faced with a familiar challenge by many HE institutions—collecting feedback was easy, but responding to it effectively was much harder. Students felt unheard, and engagement levels dropped. By partnering with Unitu, Wrexham SU centralised their feedback process, giving students real-time updates on how their input was being addressed. The result? Increased trust, stronger student-staff relationships, and a 7 point boost in their 2023 NSS scores for student voice! 🎯 👉Curious about how they did it? Read the full case study here: https://bit.ly/47GsCWp 📽️ Check out the video snapshot below!

ATTENTION PARENTS: The Spring Semester is almost upon us, so NOW is the time to enroll in one of The Knowledge Co-Operative’s #psat, #SATpreparationand #ACTPrep Courses. Standardized test preparation is what we do … and we do it better than anybody else. We have been doing this for a long time now, and we have helped lots and lots of kids get into some really great schools: MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Cal Tech, blah, blah, blah. We have also helped lots and lots of high school underachievers find hidden gems that have matched their academic needs and helped them to succeed in college and beyond; schools like Mercer, American, Penn State, Alabama and Texas Christian. Mostly though, we help students find schools that offer great programs in the students’ chosen fields as well as generous merit aid packages (need based aid is, sadly, a relic of the past – a victim of idiotic obsession with college rankings). The courses are comprehensive and effective. In fact, we have found that those students who begin test preparation early substantially outperform those who delay preparation. In our courses, students will be taught the skills and techniques necessary to master all three components of the SAT and all four components of the ACT. Moreover, they will be taught proven and effective techniques – NOT TRICKS, but rather specific and replicable methodologies that are tailored to address the particular skills that the PSAT, SAT and ACT attempt to test. If your child is willing to do the assigned course work, we know that he or she will do well … very, very well. In fact, we know that diligent application of our techniques will make the test very manageable. If you have any questions, feel free to call me us at 7863337909 or email Sean at seancharlesplynch@gmail.com #testprep #testpreparation #collegebound #collegeprep #collegepreparation #collegeadvice #collegeadmissions #collegeadvising #satprepcourse #SATPrep

🎓 The FAFSA is here—and I’m thrilled to report it’s working more seamlessly than last year! Unfortunately, many of my graduating seniors and their parents are still feeling the ripple effects of last year’s rocky rollout. Even though they didn’t experience it firsthand, the stories they heard created anxiety and fear before they even tackled the form. Last night, I hosted a virtual FAFSA Completion Event for Urban Arts seniors and their parents. At the start, I did a quick “temperature check,” asking everyone to rate their feelings about completing the FAFSA using the slide below. Most were at a 1 or 2—filled with trepidation, uncertainty, and a strong desire to retreat. Fast forward two hours, and we accomplished so much: FAFSAs submitted, NYS TAP applications completed, and anxiety levels eased. We even got those ratings up to a 4 or 5 by the end of the session! 🎉 💡 A huge shoutout to all the amazing college access counselors out there! Your work goes far beyond forms and deadlines. You hold hands (virtually and literally), calm fears, and remind families they’re not alone in this process. 🙌 To the students and parents who show up and face these challenges head-on: you’re the real MVPs. Despite the fear, you push forward—and that’s what counts. Let’s keep making college dreams possible, one step at a time! 🏆✨ #FAFSA #CollegeReady #EdLeaders
