A lot of Entry level Tech professionals make the mistake of assuming every listener is their audience and every team member comprehends information the same way. In a work environment, there will always be the technical and the non-technical team members. Understanding how to communicate to each of these categories makes the work flow seamless. For instance: A Non-technical stakeholder will need more simplied explanation than a Technical stakeholder. Are you surprised? We know you will be but we have got you covered. To master audience communication and lots more, we have put together a 2 weeks certified intensive class for entry level Tech professionals. All you need to do to be part of the class is to register via this link: https://lnkd.in/ev6n4jcv At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of merit. We can't wait to see you in class. Meet Ogechi: A SKILLS STAR's Journey with Skilled For Work Academy (SFW) Ogechi, one of our inspiring SKILLS STARs from Batch 4, shares her thoughts on the impact of Skilled For Work Academy (SFW) after years in the corporate world. With a solid 15-year career behind her, she initially questioned what more she could gain from a program named “Foundational Skills.” Yet, SFW proved to be an eye-opening journey, introducing her to new tools and knowledge that have reshaped her perspective on growth and learning. In her own words, Ogechi says, "Forget the name, Foundational Skill. I am not new to some of the tools, but I am new to a lot; in fact, there are some that I am just hearing the name for the first time." She reflects with a smile on the experience, amazed that even with her extensive background, there’s still so much to learn. Her journey is a testament to the boundless nature of knowledge, as she passionately adds, "This thing called knowledge is big!" Ogechi encourages anyone who has completed the GOP program to consider SFW as a next step, saying, "Yes, you need it after GOP." For her, SFW is more than just another program—it’s a transformative experience that opens doors to new skills and deeper insights, reminding us all that learning is a continuous journey, no matter where you are in your career. At SFW, you learn and gain clarity. At a subsidised rate of N107500/$129, you are equipped with the proper knowledge and skills. Congratulations to our Boss, TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez on his impressive first 100 days as Director General! Achieving so much in such a short time is no small feat, and the impact of his initiatives is sure to resonate for years to come. A key highlight of Secretary Kiko’s leadership is his 8-point agenda for the agency, with a particularly compelling focus on reshaping perceptions of technical-vocational (tech-voc) education in the Philippines. As a communication and branding enthusiast, I find this shift in mindset to be a transformative step in elevating the value of tech-voc education in the hearts and minds of our kababayans. I believe the stigma surrounding tech-voc education in our country is, in many ways, self-inflicted. While advanced nations have embraced the success of technical education, where a TESDA National Certificate can lead to gainful employment without a college degree, this mindset is not yet fully adopted here. Many foreign industries recognize the stackability of skills and the evolving concept of job security, which is rooted in continuously equipping oneself with in-demand skills—essentially, the goal is to remain perpetually hirable. Yet, many companies in the Philippines still prioritize a college degree or 'college-level' education as a prerequisite. (I have my own theory as to why this persists, but that’s a topic for another discussion.) Secretary Kiko’s emphasis on shifting mindsets will allow TESDA to foster stronger relationships with industries and companies, finding common ground where tech-voc education can truly thrive. Under his visionary leadership, TESDA is paving the way for a brighter future for skills development in the Philippines. 📸 Yours truly. #ImageTaker #ImageMaker

A few days ago visited Pakistan's biggest software exhibition "Aptech Vision 2024" and wanted to share some highlights with you all. Being associated with Aptech firstly as student and then as a Trainer has been a journey and wanted to witness some great ideas, future developers and to praise the efforts of students. First impression was really good as there was a flood of visitors. I found some quite new and good ideas/projects and most of them did a great work converting their ideas to life(in form of project). But unfortunately most of th projects were copy/paste or someone else's projects without even baring to change to chance basics and that point I was really disappointed. As there were mix visitors from different backgrounds but for sure it was creating a very bad impression to one's to who know what was being presented (some people literally complained me about this). On the other hand there were some groups who developed every bit of their project by themselves and I was really happy to see them. The confidence was next level and he was able to describe every point of website(of course because he owned every inch of it). In conclusion it was a good experience but we should focus on taking pride in showing our own work even with limitations rather than a downloaded project of which we don't know a thing.

WEEKLY REFLECTION WEEK 11。IN MY WEEK ONE LEARNING I IDENTIFIED THESE ISSUES AND ADDRESSING THEM WITH SERIOUSNESS IS A GREAT IDEA,LOOKING AT MY LOCAL COMMUNITY AND NIGERIA AT LARGE。 Problems of Not Reading Online Applied Learning Content in the 3MTT Program: THE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS。 1. Lack of Knowledge: - Participants may miss essential concepts in software development, leading to gaps in understanding. Solution: - Encourage structured reading schedules and provide summaries or key takeaways. Additionally, implement a reward system for those who complete reading assignments, such as certificates or recognition. 2. Poor Skill Application: - Without engaging with the material, participants may struggle to apply learned skills in real-world scenarios. Solution: - Include hands-on projects and practical assignments that necessitate the application of the content. Incentivize successful completion with rewards like project showcases or potential internships. 3. Reduced Collaboration: - Limited reading can hinder participation in group discussions, impacting collaboration. Solution: - Foster a collaborative learning environment with discussion forums and peer study groups. Offer rewards for active participation, such as team-building activities or recognition awards. 4. Difficulty in Problem-Solving: - Lack of familiarity with diverse approaches can inhibit effective troubleshooting. Solution: - Integrate case studies and real-life examples for analysis. Offer rewards for participants who demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities during activities. 5. Stagnant Growth: - Failing to engage with current content can lead to falling behind industry advancements. Solution: - Provide regular updates on new technologies and trends. Encourage ongoing learning through a rewards system for continuous professional development, such as discounts on workshops or learning materials. By addressing these issues with effective solutions, including rewards, the 3MTT program can significantly enhance the software development skills of Nigerian youths, contributing to a stronger tech community.#MY3MTT #3MTTWeeklyreflection #3MTTBAYELSA #BAYELSATECHHUB #SOFTWAREDEVELOPMENT。

Malaysia Qualifications Framework (MQF 2.0) Clusters In my last post, I covered MQF 2.0 and its levels. Now, let’s get into the MQF 2.0 Clusters—the catalyst that shape our graduates into skilled, ethical, and all-around capable professionals. Breaking Down MQF 2.0 Clusters These clusters aren’t just buzzwords; they form the backbone of MQF 2.0, helping students gain a well-rounded set of skills and knowledge. Here’s a quick breakdown: Cluster 1: Knowledge and Understanding This is where it all starts—grasping the core theories, concepts, and principles in your field. It’s the foundation that helps students build up from basic knowledge to advanced expertise. Cluster 2: Cognitive Skills We’re talking critical thinking, problem-solving, and making smart decisions. This cluster ensures students aren’t just absorbing information but are also analyzing, questioning, and applying it in real-world situations. Cluster 3: Functional Work Skills The practical stuff. This cluster focuses on: 1)Practical Skills: Getting hands-on with the tools of the trade, whatever that trade might be. 2)Interpersonal Skills: Working well with others, handling teamwork, and navigating those tricky group dynamics. 3)Communication Skills: Speaking and writing clearly—skills that everyone needs, no matter the job. 4)Digital Skills: Tech-savvy skills to keep up with our digital-first world. 5)Numeracy Skills: Crunching numbers, reading data, and applying quantitative techniques in problem-solving. 6)Leadership, Autonomy, and Responsibility: Developing leadership qualities, taking charge, and acting responsibly. Cluster 4: Personal and Entrepreneurial Skills This is all about nurturing independence, creativity, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit. It’s the cluster that inspires students to innovate, think outside the box, and take risks—whether they’re leading a project or launching their own business. Cluster 5: Ethics and Professionalism Last but definitely not least, this cluster emphasizes ethical behavior, integrity, and professionalism. It ensures that graduates not only excel in their skills but also uphold the highest standards of their profession. Why Do These Clusters Matter? These clusters are like a toolkit that prepares students not just for jobs but for life. They ensure graduates are skilled, adaptable, and ready to tackle whatever the future throws their way. That’s why aligning education with these clusters is crucial—it’s what sets students up for success in their careers and beyond. In my next post, we’ll dive into the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR) and explore how it complements the MQF. Stay tuned, and let’s keep this convo going! #HigherEducation #MQF2ndEdition #SkillsThatMatter

When chaos precedes the creation of good systems. A few years ago, I used to believe that everything had to be perfectly organized before any progress could be made. (Similarly, UGC-NET candidates often expect flawless management for a smooth examination experience.) However, I soon realized that chaos is often necessary in order to pave the way for the development of effective systems. (The disarray seen in UGC-NET management calls for innovative solutions and better systems.) It was during a particularly hectic time in my life that I discovered the power of embracing chaos as a precursor to creating order. (Candidates facing the disorganized UGC-NET process can view it as an opportunity for systemic improvements.) As I navigated through the messiness of uncertainty and disorder, I began to see patterns emerging and opportunities for improvement. (Despite UGC-NET's chaotic management, patterns of inefficiency can highlight areas for development.) Instead of being overwhelmed by the chaos, I started to embrace it as a natural part of the creative process. (UGC-NET aspirants and organizers can accept the disorder as a step towards better management practices.) This shift in perspective allowed me to let go of my need for control and perfection, and instead focus on adapting and evolving in the face of chaos. (By releasing the need for perfect UGC-NET management, stakeholders can focus on adaptable and evolving solutions.) Ultimately, I learned that chaos can be a catalyst for innovation and growth. (The mismanagement of UGC-NET can spark innovative strategies and growth in exam administration.) By embracing the chaos and allowing it to guide the creation of good systems, I was able to achieve greater success and fulfillment in both my personal and professional life. (Embracing the chaos in UGC-NET management can lead to more effective and fulfilling examination systems.) Embrace chaos to create effective systems. (UGC-NET should embrace its current chaos to develop robust and efficient examination systems.) #students #NTA #UGCNET #system
