Placide Fortiter. Latin for gently, but firmly. This has always been my guiding principle in entrepreneurship. It’s not about rushing headfirst into every challenge, but navigating the ups and downs with calm resolve and steady strength. Most startups fail—that’s a fact. Yet, as a founder who’s been through it once, there’s an undeniable confidence that you can do it better the next time. It’s a 24/7 grind, not because anyone’s forcing you, but because you want to. That constant push, the hunger to grow, is a must-have in founders. Entrepreneurship gives you that extra edge—the problem-solving mindset even in the face of adversity. And it’s this steady belief that doesn’t stop with you. It begins to rub off on your team, creating a well-oiled machine that runs with minimal supervision, always ready for the next challenge. Founders – can you relate? #entrepreneurship #placidefortiter #foundermindset

How to build a Unicorn? Thanks to James Kane and Ben Ross for organizing the YPO Entrepreneurship Network meet-up in Melbourne! Special thanks to Anthony Zaccaria for sharing the incredible story of Linktree—from a side project fulfilling a specific need to a unicorn company in just a few short years. So, how to build a Unicorn? Easy. 🚀 Always think about solving the problems that you face yourself. Linktree was not initially built to be productized or monetized; it was "only" a tool that helped the founders to more easily share links on a single page with their customers. 🚀 Work on solving the problem instead of creating elaborate five-year plans. Linktree's first version took off like a rocket because it immediately had product-market fit (PMF)—no elaborate long-term plans were needed to ideate the product. 🚀 If it goes big, drop everything else because you've found the right thing. Linktree grew out of an agency that also worked on a few other projects, but when the growth of Linktree became obvious, all resources were channeled into growing the product. #entrepreneurship
