COLLABORATION The expansion and adoption of ‘Space’ into the mainstream is hugely reliant upon how the industry works together for the benefit of the end user. Less about ‘what we do’ and more ‘what you can do’. To reach a position of almost anonymity in the end user’s eyes needs a vast amount of knowledgeable joined up thinking, action and ‘paddling under the surface’ to occur. Third Planet Orbital have been busy in March connecting and collaborating in multiple arenas to build the cohesion: • Exhibiting at (Space-Comm Expo). • Forming Business Relationships (Bright Ascension Ltd and Commercial Space Technologies Ltd. (CST). • Meeting Investors (UK Space Agency Space Investment Forum). • University engagement (VentureVersity). • Trade body interaction (UKspace SME Committee). At Third Planet Orbital we think the time ahead of us as an industry is full of opportunity at all levels, there are visionaries, instigators, system experts, integrators, and operators out there of all shapes and sizes…exciting times! UPCOMING EVENTS 11 April: East Mids STEM Advisory Group 25 April: Space Commercialisation and Tech Summit 11-12 June: UKSA Ignite Space Conference #Space #NewSpaceCommunity #ThirdPlanetOrbital

Space and non-Space converge at Munich New Space Summit 🚀 ⛰️ This year`s Munich New Space Summit was once again a successful opportunity for important conversations and collaborations for representatives from governments, private companies and individuals to redefine the space economy 🏆. In different panel discussions, top experts from industry, academia, policymaking, and program making gave insight into challenges and potentials of the space sector 🚀. Exploring the convergence of space and non-space industries, Prof. Andreas Knopp from #SeRANIS and Chair of Signal Processing at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, confidently moderated as well as took part as panelist about secure connectivity solutions. For Teodora Secara, ESA, and Luigi Scatteia, PwC France, space should be an enabler for other industries, since seamless integration serves as a key to reach other sectors. For Oliver Wick, space is inspiring for integration in future architecture. Following Clemens Kaiser, RIVADA, space can provide a solution to secure connectivity, though for Dr. Eva Schmid, mainstream industry has little awareness of (the real vulnerability of) space 💡. Andreas points out, once industry is aware of the importance of space, the capacity won`t be enough to satisfy all needs and e.g. to link up all cars 🚘 🚗 anymore ... His summary, that there is still a long way to go 🌌 “to get other industries into the team” and get space into daily life, met with great approval of the other panelists. #Spacesummit #Secureconnectivity #NewSpaceeconosphere #UniBwM #Satellitemission #Innovation 🛰️ -------- SeRANIS -------- 🛰️ SeRANIS (Seamless Radio Access Networks for Internet of Space) is the first and only small satellite mission in the world to provide a publicly accessible multifunctional experimental laboratory in orbit. 🚀 Launch: 2026! dtec.bw is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU

The rising democratisation of space has led to a new era of collaboration of countries keen to pool resources and expand the frontiers of space. Aside from #spaceforsustainability #spaceforsecurity and space tech to drive the global #smartnation agenda, the profound impact that space has on the global innovation agenda is undeniable. Chaired by Office for Space Technology & Industry, Singapore (OSTIn), leading space agencies across Europe, the Middle East and Asia converged at #GSTC2024 for a panel to explore how collaboration in the areas of data, resources and knowledge can help younger space-facing nations better leverage space for innovation. #GSTCxSSTL #SgSpace #SSTL #Singapore #SG_Space #Space #Technology #Innovation #GSTC
