That’s exactly what I do with the color Doppler & I get a higher more accurate velocity almost every time. I’ve scanned after a mod AS pt only a couple of months & take the time to manipulate & watch the color Doppler to get peak velocities well over 4 severe AS. Some of these pts are symptomatic and wasn’t eligible for sx/TAVR due to the mod AS. That’s why more precise/accurate Doppler assessment is important…
Interessante. Because the most variables are derived from aortic peak velocity, a careful evaluation of maximal aortic velocity from different views and windows (apical five- and three-chamber views and suprasternal and right parasternal windows) is mandatory.
