A landing page is anywhere on your website where a user lands after clicking on an ad or CTA (call to action). Which is why a lot of the principles for a good landing page also apply to a good homepage. What are the key elements of a good landing page? ▪️ A prioritized, hierarchy of information to cater to various user needs. ▪️ Clear, easy-to-understand headlines. When in doubt, prioritize clarity over cleverness. ▪️ Copy that articulates the value exchange, the purpose of the page, and the organization’s mission. ▪️ User proof and trust signals like testimonials, case studies, awards, or logo gardens. 🎙️ Each podcast episode costs me around $75, but I keep running it for free. Here's the breakdown: - Audio editor (Found an amazing one on Fiverr) - Subscription to Riverside.fm (my virtual studio) - Buzzsprout subscription to host my podcast - vidyo.ai for creating shorts (though I may cancel this since Riverside now offers shorts) Why I continue podcasting for free: -I love conversations with fellow authors. - Supporting authors brings me joy. - It has opened doors like speaking engagements and expanded my network in the publishing industry. The Reality: Running the podcast costs more than it brings in, and so far, I haven’t attracted advertisers. If you've enjoyed my podcast and want to see it continue, consider supporting me by joining my Patreon. Members get awesome perks: -A signed copy of my novel and future novels. -Free access to one of my self-led courses in my learning academy. - Free access to my writing community …and more! If you're not talking about your competition in your content, you're losing out on business. The reality is: Your buyers are already comparing you to the competition. That conversation exists whether you join it or not—because when’s the last time someone evaluated just one option before making a purchase decision? So, if you know potential customers are looking at other options, the question is, do you want to be the one who guides that conversation? That doesn’t mean being bias or misleading, but providing factual information and positioning yourself as the trusted source that helps navigate the buyer's journey. When you do this, you earn more trust with your buyers. And people buy from businesses they trust. 👊 Learn how to discuss your competition the right way on the latest episode of Endless Customers with head sales and marketing coach Brian Casey. Out now on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts and more. #TheyAskYouAnswer #endlesscustomers #marketingtraining #marketingcoach

Prepare for the exit! Episode #57 of "The Daily Author" with Laurie Barkman emphasized the importance of planning for an exit from the beginning, encouraging business owners to structure their businesses to maximize value when it's time to sell. Laurie shared insights on the common oversight of not considering an eventual sale, which can lead to a business not reaching its potential value. She discussed real-life stories where emotional attachment to a business complicated the decision to sell, and emphasized the importance of open communication and realistic assessment of capabilities and interests within family-run businesses. We discuss her book, The Business Transition Handbook, and how appearing on podcasts to reach the right audience and building a strong organic following through valuable content and newsletters is important in marketing a book. "Challenging the obvious stuff". The idea sounds simple at first. This came up while chatting with Becky Berry from Riverside.fm (the product I love and use weekly for our podcasts). A simple thing to understand, but a strong and ambitious path to follow. She's also Sn. Product Designer ex-Wix , so her product understanding is the gem. We chatted around the workflow of podcast recording and editing. Turns out, it's not that easy to do podcasts. Neither is it easy to create a software for podcasters & creators. With this, how do you keep challenging the obvious? . . During the entire conversation, the answer as that 'one thing' was always resonant -> FOCUS. Focus on creating a simple workflow; a stellar product. I'm sure that's what it takes! That's what it takes to build the world-class products that she's headed. . . The core focus on-> + understanding user needs + mapping the user journey + finding user pain points + trying the best to solve those ONE AT A TIME and we conquer product building! Ps- Looking forward to our podcast sometime Becky :) #uxdesign #productdesign #uxui #podcast #uidesign
