🎾 As a big tennis fan... (and the Tim who really should have had a hill named after him for just his pure determination on the tennis court if nothing else 🤣 )... I’m on the edge of my seat (and next to a vomit bag 🤣) keeping a close eye on the Draper vs Sinner semifinal at the US Open. Draper has just lost the 2nd set tiebreak running 3.8 miles in the process according to the IBM AI app after an amazing run to the semifinals. The IBM app has been keeping me fuelled with some amazing AI-powered insights that really take fan engagement to the next level. For over 30 years, IBM has been the US Open’s Digital Innovation Partner, continuously transforming how millions of fans experience the tournament. This year, I’ve been particularly pleased to see how IBM’s generative AI models, built on IBM watsonx are turning match data into meaningful, engaging content. Here are just three cutting-edge AI features you can check out at the app: 1. Match Reports- Incredibly concise and insightful post-match summaries that allow fans to catch up on every match with ease. These are crafted by the USTA editorial team with AI-assisted content generation from IBM watsonx. 2. AI Commentary - Relive the key highlights of the match with AI-generated commentary. 3. Likelihood to Win - This is one of my favorite features – an AI-powered prediction of match outcomes. It’s based on a detailed analysis of player stats, expert opinions, and player momentum. The collaboration between IBM and the USTA showcases the immense potential of AI in sports, not only enhancing fan experiences but also empowering the editorial team to scale content creation. It's amazing to see AI enriching live events and making data more accessible and engaging for millions of tennis fans around the globe! Come on Jack - three set bounce back! And a little less 🤮 please! 🤣 #Tennis #AI #IBMWatsonx #USOpen #DigitalInnovation #FanExperience #SportsTech #USTA #AIinSports Anyone for tennis?! Agree 100% Tim. The app is a true use case of putting the user at the center of design. I’ve loved using the app over the years whether it be asynchronously or on US open grounds looking for the next match to check out. And I say this as an avid fan of tennis irregardless of being an IBMer 💪
