A waste recycling plant is going to be built in Abu Dhabi. This modern facility will take in recyclable materials from household waste and turn them into new products. It'll help create a "closed loop economy" and make the Tadweer Group's goal of recycling 80% of Abu Dhabi's waste by 2030 a reality. The long-term goal is to create raw materials and finished products from the recycled materials, like sustainable aviation fuel. The plant will be in Al Mafraq, about 36 kilometers from the city center. It's expected to process up to 1.3 million tons of waste each year. The facility will cover more than 90,000 square meters, making it one of the biggest processing plants in the area. Also, the new plant is going to help attract local and international investment from the private sector. It's also going to create jobs and training opportunities for Emiratis. #circular economy#do you care #solar energy#be responsible#save planet#clean earth #RenewableEnergy#new era#less carbon#sustainability #waste management and recycling #plastic #recycling#circular economy#new package#do you care #waste to income#save planet#clean earth #COP28

Dubai Municipality has launched a sustainable waste management project in Hatta to divert waste from landfills. The project, titled 'Outsourcing Waste Collection, Transportation, and Recycling Services', has transformed the Hatta landfill into an advanced facility spanning more than 60,000 square metres. The facility comprises an administrative office and a waste disposal zone. On average, around 20 tonnes of municipal solid waste and 27 tonnes of agricultural waste are generated daily in Hatta. This project is expected to benefit a total of 1,147 homes. The municipality has distributed over 2,500 new waste storage and collection containers, each differentiated by its colour, featuring illustrations and instructions to help with waste segregation. Let's raise public awareness about the significance of correctly segregating waste at source. #Sustainability #WasteManagement #DubaiMunicipality #dubai #uae #sustainability

🚫 Don't fall for false claims! 🚫 A big thank you to everyone who takes the time to choose the right recycler. 🙏 It's crucial to stay vigilant and not be swayed by recyclers claiming authorization from Dubai Municipality or the UAE government. Here's the truth: In Dubai, recyclers must first be approved or issued a permit by Dubai Municipality before they can operate legally with their recycling activity. Only with these approvals/permits, they can seek permits from other local and federal government bodies to expand their activities to other emirates and countries. Always verify the latest updated recyclers list from Dubai Municipality by reaching out to info@dm.gov.ae, addressing the Waste Operations Department - WTS. Choose the right recycler from the list for your specific material to get recycled. Don't be fooled by fake documents and sweet words 😉. Let's work together to ensure responsible recycling practices! ♻️ #ChooseWisely #Recycling #sustainibility #lithiumbatteries #Electricvehicles #Dubai #UAE
