It all started this Tuesday morning during the Seattle Startups Open Coffee Hour, when David Busby wondered if AI could help sort through the Startup Pitches submitted for the Seattle Angel Conference. Maybe AI could save time reviewing 1-min Pitches and generate improved outcomes or at least save time. Personally, I wondered if some kind of linear decision model could be built that including group sentiment, along with quantitative factors that AI could use to pick winners. We contemplated if AI could extract specific cues from 1-min Pitches. Of course, AI can do that. There are plenty of tools already that perform analysis on semantics and match them to specific topics. Did you say your name, company clearly? Did you state why you are passionate about your product? Did you describe your niche? Did you explain your business model? To be honest, the moment I hear Startup Founders start with that exact sequence I turn off immediately. Next. Finally, David asked John Sechrest what his best piece of advice to Founders for a 1-min Pitch would be. It's simple, and uniquely challenging, and the secret is. "Be remarkable."
