👉 Making more with Less -29 April-3 May 2024- The artist: Reinhard Pfngst The Theme of the exhibit is ‘Making more with Less’, an obvious note to the challenges faced by water scarcity in agriculture. Here the greater than ‘>’ and less than’<’ symbols are employed extensively in the exhibits brand, echoing the diagonal likes prevalent in the visual identity of the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG). It is often forgotten that agriculture, like art, is a human invention. Together, these disciplines can revise and improve the current course of the planet’s history. From various points of view, the works in the exhibition turn their attention to water, the most important resource for the survival of the planet, developing a multifaceted artistic practice, which tends to identify a poetic cultivation of global regeneration. The six artworks selected for this exhibit reflect and connect to the six working groups of WASAG. Special thank you to Reinhard Pfngst!

Our paper "𝟑𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐱 𝐒𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟑𝐃 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐬” is now available on Arxiv! I am happy to share that I have successfully defended my doctoral dissertation! ✨ My dissertation explored how technology can support civilian drivers in their interaction with emergency vehicles. Here are some key findings: 🚨 Emergency Vehicle Lighting: Alternative designs can influence driver behavior, and current designs may not always promote the best responses. For instance, only one third of Swedish drivers have seen the current pull-over signal used by the police. 🚗 Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS): Specifically, the Emergency Vehicle Approaching (EVA) warning system. EVA warnings, which alert drivers early, help them move over more quickly, reducing delays for emergency vehicles. ⚠️ False Alarms: While EVA warnings are beneficial, false alarms can slow future responses and negatively impact attitudes towards the system. In conclusion, both emergency vehicle lighting and EVA warnings can improve driver interactions with emergency vehicles, reducing collision risks and delays. However, for national implementation, Sweden needs robust digital infrastructure for secure data exchange. I'm THRILLED to share that after much hard work, my journal paper "Identifying principal attributes for evaluating audio quality of reproduction systems with spatially dynamic program material" has been published in the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society! 📝✨ This paper explores how spatially dynamic program material affects perceived audio quality and attribute selection across different systems. By using paired comparison and the check-all-that-apply method, the study shows that while audio quality ratings are mainly influenced by the reproduction system, there is slight evidence that spatially dynamic material has an effect on attribute selection. It also provides useful insights into attributes for loudspeaker comparisons and their impact on quality ratings. I hope this research benefits those in audio research and spatial audio systems! 𝐀 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!   This moment holds deep meaning for me.   Receiving the 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟐𝐊𝟐𝟓 as 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐚 is more than just an achievement—it’s a reflection of the passion, persistence, and commitment I have put into this journey.   From the day I took on this role, my vision was clear: 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞, 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭. Along the way, I faced challenges, learned valuable lessons, and experienced growth that shaped me both personally and professionally.   This recognition is a testament to the 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 that went into making a difference.   This is just the beginning.
