I remember my first visit to #Tsinghua Science Park and our technology center (BGC) there over 10 years ago—the energy and focus on innovation were striking. Nestled near two of China’s most prestigious universities—Peking University and Tsinghua University—and within a 5 km radius of hundreds of high-tech companies, from industry giants to startups, it was clear this was a hub of cutting-edge ideas and collaboration. Fast forward to today, the work being done by the INNOVATION FACTORI team in Beijing, as highlighted in this article, shows how that same spirit is now driving solutions to some of the biggest challenges in the energy transition, such as carbon capture and storage (CCS). This location is addressing not only CCS but also challenges in geothermal energy, renewable integration, and beyond. Under the leadership of Yunlong LIU, the team is leveraging generative AI and advanced data solutions to unlock insights from unstructured data, optimize workflows, and scale innovation faster. Being part of such a rich ecosystem of academic and tech excellence is clearly paying dividends, and it’s a testament to the immense talent we have at SLB across the globe. H2S’s technology utilizes advanced photoacoustic spectroscopy, offering a wide dynamic detection range and enhancing safety in industrial workplaces by accurately monitoring gas emissions. #EventRecap | 🟢🟢🟢 Last Thursday, July 31, we gathered at the Start A Factory for the third and final round of the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲. The participating teams presented innovative ideas of electronic innovation with a resource efficient perspective for a wide range of applications such as health, automotive and space. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱'𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁: 📌 Upon intensive debate by the expert jury, it was reached the verdict that the project pitched by muVaP GmbH, 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝘼𝙎𝙄𝘾, was selected for funding and mentoring by FMD skilled Experts. 📌 With the 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝘼𝙎𝙄𝘾 project, 𝗺𝘂𝗩𝗮𝗣 𝗚𝗺𝗯𝗛 intends to develop a special integrated circuit for self-developed controlling piezoelectric actuators, which are more efficient than traditional solenoid valves and pumps. 💎 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 @ 𝗙𝗠𝗗: Experts from Fraunhofer EMFT are closely supporting this project with their technical expertise, whereas the focus on the life cycle analysis is provided by experienced staff from the Fraunhofer IZM. 👏 Congratulations to the MuVaP team (Anjan Bhat Kashekodi, Ardavan Shabanian), we are looking forward to supporting you in the new phase that lies ahead.
