CENTUM will launch the next generation of its Lifeseeker airborne phone location system at European Rotors 2024 in Amsterdam next week. The latest features and enhancements will make it easier and faster for Search and Rescue teams to find casualties in even the most challenging terrain. Lifeseeker’s geolocation and universal techniques have been upgraded to enable highly accurate and reliable target geolocation. This both speeds up the location process and enables SAR teams to locate people in the most challenging terrains, including the mountains, without requiring elevation maps. Combined with updated scanning algorithms, this improves efficiency and reduces search times. 🛰 𝗚𝗡𝗦𝗦 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝘀: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 🚗 𝐈𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, The Indian government is attempting to switch from the Fastags system to something called the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) in order to collect #tolls. While the system has decreased the amount of time spent at tolls, there are still drawbacks to the implementation of #Fastags, which was intended to end lengthy lines at toll booths. The goal of the new GNSS system is to #reduce waiting times and speed up #transit. The GNSS tracks a #car and charges users based on the distance travelled on a highway using #GPS and GPS-Aided #GEO Augmented Navigation (GAGAN). The existing system, which includes set toll #booths at fixed locations charging the same for all customers, is in contrast to this. Because it will not overcharge consumers and reduce toll evasion, this method will also benefit the #government. Great comments Hosam Sobh - critical to accelerate the Path to Commerce. Whether you want to know what drone is in the sky or accelerate advanced operations, we need to have INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE. The development of ASOCCs is preparing for the delegation of responsibilities to state and local authorities and commercial operations. Not just for the burgeoning of low-altitude airspace but for ground systems as well. Infrastructure has played a crucial role in accelerating the aviation industry by providing the necessary facilities and support systems for aircraft operations, passenger services, and cargo transportation. Advanced Air Mobility is highly dependent on 21st-century INTELLIGENT INFRASTRUCTURE. The entire reason this is different and called "Advanced Air Mobility" is the need for additional systems required to support higher volumes of vehicles, in a lower altitude and closer quarters. This means you have small systems, large systems, and more systems in the sky. Otherwise, you are just talking about NextGen and current aviation. Autonomy Institute https://lnkd.in/dQuqwa8h
From a technology standpoint, aviation authorities must align their capabilities with the evolving advanced air mobility markets. This involves significant investment in R&D and a phased approach to developing the necessary infrastructure, primarily focused on low altitude operations. Extensive modifications to air traffic control (ATC) systems are required, including a robust network of low altitude air traffic management comprising radar, weather systems, beacon navigation systems, GPS, advanced sensors, and avionics. Additionally, there is a growing expectation that governments will adopt greater automation in pilot operations, following global trends. #AAM #UAM #AdvancedAirMobility #eVTOL #Vertiport

NewSpace Research and Technologies has successfully tested a #long #range #SatCom link for Command, Control, Communication, Computing & Intelligence #C4I functions of a #Drone #Swarm. Features demonstrated in this #pioneering #mission - Beyond line of sight #BLOS connectivity between a drone swarm connected to #satellite #communication network & #remote ground control station #GCS. The SatCom network provides assured connectivity over all parts of the globe (except the poles). The mission was carried out at Ladakh at 4200m altitude. The mission was planned, executed and monitored from #NRT HQ in Bengaluru (which is more than 3000 km away). Seamless communication was available throughout the mission with #telemetry & #payload #data from the swarm. Minimal #latency was observed in the network This demonstration paves the way for remote #BLOS operations for drone swarms across the length & breath of India; improves #mission #resilience in #contested #environments. Multiple #users at various locations can benefit from this #cuttingedge solution which leverages #encrypted #SatCom links, helping close the #OODA response time much faster. The capability will boost NRT's Next Generation Missions & Technologies #NGMT initiative.
